USC 2009 transfer thread

@aaam90

I know! I love it. I think that means that we are both very wise and right on the money ;).

we’re all one in the same = perfect for usc!

wishful thinking =)

trojanhopeful:

ohh okay. i get what you’re saying.

so i’m assuming USC is totally your first choice. did you apply anywhere else??

@ trojanhopeful
I applied with a 3.5 last year and got a SGR.
I have a 3.7 now and I am getting no requests for anything (so far?)

Anyways, last year’s gpa average was about a 3.7, so you are a good candidate. The 3.9’s are intimidating, but whaatteeva! We can take them C:

(I am not hating on you 3.9’ers. I am actually envious of your fabulous gpa’s.)

USC is my first choice by very far.
I applied to LMU and NYU–Comm major

oh yeah i remember that. but please don’t go to LMU. i cannot wait to get out of here and if i don’t get into USC, i have no idea what i’ll do.

Actually Rad it’s 3.65

I love reading this thread :)

Well, my gpa is technically a 3.69, but I round it up to a 3.7

Haha I’m so confused now. So you guys think that since I received my SGR this early its bad?

No! SGR is good!
It does not guarantee admission, buuutt it means that they are considering you.
(Yes, some people get in without it, but not many.)

you guys really have a good GPA…

My average is only like 85…

God why does my school never give a score above 90///

I am an intl student by the way.

NO not at all westcoast -

from what someone said earlier based on the word of an admissions counselor, they just sent out a flux of rejections. and obviously from the looks of some people in this forum, they’ve also sent out sgr’s and acceptances. so you are part of the luckier crowd to have received something and even luckier that it’s not a rejection =)

and i agree capt. rodeo!

this forum has kept me sufficiently occupied/entertained for the last 7-8 weeks. i learn something new everyday hahaha

I have probably one of the lowest GPAs on here. I have a 3.4. Ehh…There’s some really smart people on here.

naaah linsper23…that goes to me…3.2…

it wouldn’t have been so low if it werent for a stupid Econ class i took last semester that totally dropped it

hahaha oooomg you guys have to read this if you want to be thoroughly entertained.

i thought we were usc fanatics, people on this forum are going nuts:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-southern-california/613255-why-does-usc-admit-so-many-transfer-students-4.html

grey-synt -

i read your comment and i totally agree! i don’t get why people are brawling hahaha but it’s funny.

fatpanda-I don’t feel so bad now. Lol. 3.2 is still good but I don’t know for USC…

I think i was told once that a 4.0 at a CC was “worth more” than a 3.5 at a 4-year school. I personally kind of am upset by this. I know I sound pretentious or whatever, but seeing as I already go to a top 50 university, I just feel that my coursework is much more rigorous than what I would be getting at my CC.
