I have looked into that actually. It’s what I’m aiming for. :)

lots of schools offer the dual degree - it’s just a matter of being able to get into both programs.

lots of schools offer the dual degree - it’s just a matter of being able to get into both programs.

are you both pre-law aswell?

ohh okay that’s good and ambitious.

if i get accepted to USC, i’ll have the pre-law emphasis. is there a program or anything for pre-law students??

we get advisement I suppose. We also get to take the upper-division Writing 340 class with a pre-law emphasis. I can’t wait.

Yes, I’m also pre-law.

aaam90,

I believe there’s student organizations for pre-law. Also, USC has lots of events to prep their pre-law students.

ohh nice. i hope we get accepted. bllaahh. :)

Me too. Are any of you guys thinking of minoring in anything? People say minors are useless… I’m leaning toward that direction also. However, I think minoring in a language is beneficial.

actually jennn, i wanted to double major in english and PPL. :)

That’s different! Major vs minor… HAHAHA! English, you must write very well! Right?!

jen, that’s a good point. I’m fully fluent in spanish (been speaking since I was a baby), and since I might end up in local LA politics, a minor in spanish might be a good idea.

and speaking of, I just did a search for USC minors, and apparently they have this minor…

Philosophy for Business, Law and the Professions
The minor is intended to give students headed for business, law, or the professions a strong set of critical, analytical, and expository skills, while providing them with a broad humanistic perspective not found in professional education.

OMG.

i want to minor in italian, i have no idea why it just seems awesome haha
probably not going to do it, but its a thought

haha jocelyne that seems random. are you of italian descent??

and man grey, all of USC’s majors and minors seem so appealing and fitting to what i want to do!!

and jennn, yeah it is different.
lol but i don’t think a minor in a language would be useless at all. it can only make you more knowledgeable and open-minded about the ambiguous nature of the society we live in. and i wouldn’t say i write too well or anything, but i love literature and stuff. so you know. :)

I am doing bio right now. I hate it

^ amen to that

aaam90, no im hispanic haha but I went to Florence for a month in 2007 and loved it and took italian 1 and did amazing. I have always been in love with the italian culture, and if I dont go to any college for the fall i will be doing the study abroad thing at Florence at my cc.

They have Human Rights as a minor. Genius.

Jocelyne, wow that is great that you had such an amazing experience and were so immersed in the culture. it would be freaking awesome if you were able to go study abroad in florence. but i still want you to get into USC for fall. so haha.

and jennn, see what i mean. you think you have everything figured out about what USC has to offer then you see something else that is so intriguing and that you know would fit your interests.

aaam90,

USC is perfect. More than perfect. Except the money issue. It’s so damn expensive.

i know how you feeel jennn. i’m in that middle class where i don’t reall qualify for a significant amount of aid but not rich enough to really afford USC without racking up a bunch of high-interest loans. =/
