USC 2009 transfer thread

mine said some will receive a response before june 1st, most will get a reply after june 1st… whatever that means.

lol erggh. that’s so ambiguous.

i think i should turn off my internet so i’m not distracted by CC while trying to study. but then i’d be tempted to turn it on and still not concentrate. haha.

I got a status change! Hope it’s a good thing…

I also got into Berkeley today too, but as a spring admit.

AWW hippo! you’re so lucky. and congratulations on Cal. (USC is way betterr!!!) i hope it’s good news for you as well. :)

Yeah, I was surprised too. I guess all of those A’s in major related courses payed off. But really, USC is where my heart lies. Even if I attended Kal I don’t think I could stop being a fan of USC’s athletic programs and other aspects of the university. I’ve been raised in a trojan family and I don’t see that going away no matter where I attend.

haha i got that same update too hippo50!

well if your application is being reviewed this early, it looks like it’s a good sign. a lady told me today that the rejected people won’t really be hearing anything until june! good luck. :)

Ahhh… I want a status change too!

i know knobzie, me too.

I feel like these counselors are so all over the place!

Someone said earlier that they sent out a bunch of rejections the other day, and now they don’t send them out till June? Ahhhhhh, I’m going crazyyy.

Since I’m still a freshman, should I be expecting a notice of an SGR sooner? ***!!!

I thought historically rejections went out later, but who knows. They’ve been approaching things quite differently this year.

realistically uscplease,

i do think people with less units should expect an SGR. hopefully we will hear about our status soon. and the admissions people are definitely telling people different things. who knows what we will hear tomorrow. :)

Hey!
So… I noticed that a lot of you, i think most of you, are California residents…
Do you guys think there is less of a chance to get in if you’re out of state??

chaly - I sure hope not!

yeah me neither! Is there some kind of stat as to what percentage is out of state??

just wanted to update you guys, INDOOR SOCCER CHAMPS! haha what a way to end the year. hopefully i get into USC as the little cherry on top  i’ll be back in like an hour to read all 49295925 pages of posts you guys wrote

I’m pretty sure there is, and I think its significantly lower than in-state. But I’m basing it off memory and I’ve read stats for a bunch of schools so I could definitely be wrong. I’m guessing might also have to do with how many out-of-state apply as opposed to how many in state.

i hope not because i’m from guam…

yeah knobzie is right, you have to always look at the stats in context to the amount of applicants from each category. a lot more in state californians apply in relation to out of state, so naturally the percentage of students from in-state would be higher.
