waitingonsc-Wow, you must be smart. Waitlisted at Columbia? Woah! You’re getting into USC, I wouldn’t worry about it. Hah. NYC is fun for tourists. I’m used to the whole city thing. It’s 40 minutes away by train so I go there every chance I get. And I just have to say, whiners rule! Hehe.

*** is the SAE 541 thing!!! anyone who got in, can you see that too??

I think my age and ethnicity is my advantage. The only reason I applied to Columbia was when the representative from Columbia came to my CC, they only wanted applicants that were: over 24, GPA 3.6+ and minority.

NYC is a blast! Boo the Yankees! LOL!

I hope that 5% thing is true. I know of two from my school who got in and that student has a 4.0 and applied anthro. The other is from NYU but I dont know his grades. They are both going in as sophomores though.

Also, people keep saying that if you don’t hear within one week of the status update in the undergrad admission page, you aren’t in.

ex: Updated last 5/14/2009, and now its 5/21/2009 so if you dont hear today you are rejected

how false is that?

and does anyone know the acceptance rate for the anthro major?

waitingonsc-Lucky. So there wasn’t much competition, I guess. Still, Columbia sounds really good. You can impress some future boss in an interview “I got waitlisted at Columbia”. They’ll automatically assume you’re very smart. USC should do something like that. Yankees rock!

crazysev-I have the SAE 541 thing too. I want to know what it means!

Linsper, your from Long Island?! Me too!

maximum-Sweeeet! Hello fellow Long Islander! =)

LOL! They can assume all they want! Haha.

I think the competition is there because they had over 2400 applicants for about a 120 spots. But, they want to expand their student body to “non-traditional students” also.

ahahah hey, and yea the yanks do rock!

Dodgers buddy! Yanks are a mess… although, they have won a couple of games this week…

waitingonsc-Oh I see. Good strategy by Columbia. 120 out of 2400 is 20% acceptance rate. Hm, not bad for an ivy.

maximum-Heck yes, they do! high five

control + F SAE 551 and it says Lean Operations

20%? Its about 5 percent.:)

hah the Dodgers are aightt…now that they have Torre

Guys, what an awesome milestone I have just reached…

I HAVE THE 10,000TH POST!!!

Whooooo!!!

Good luck, everybody!

Oh man i was so close! lol

OH MAN!
