I woke up today, and the first thing that came to my mind was Marco’s theory.
ajl;skfdja;sfkjaf!!!
HOPE ITS RIGHT!!! :)

well when i got my other update it wasnt until late afternoon so keep your hopes up people!

haha! awesome glor!! :D

collegehopeful, yeah you’re right! i think behold’s update came later in the afternoon too!!! ahh please please pelase bitte por favor be today!

plus, it’d be an AWESOME way to start the weekend!

and, assuming that we’re all accepted, i found that the only orientation that is still available is on july 17th and the deadline to register for it is july 10th. that leaves us like…no time to prepare :/

… really?
Maybe they have a special orientation for us.
haha

Since I have jury duty on the 17th I called them and was informed that there is a 4th session on July 24th. It will be available starting next Wednesday, on the 1st.

oh okay, that’s a relief then. well, the relief will come once a nice package comes in the mail, then i’ll worry about little the things like orientation, housing, and tuition haha.

the little things which are actually huge things
but not as huge as the huge thing we’re currently expecting.

Yeah. Get ready to have your head spun. :p

i want to apply to marshall for the fall of 2010 as a transferring student from a california CC. does anybody know how many student are currently attending marshall and how many transferring students they usually accept each fall?

i talked to the counselor and they told me the average accepted gpa for marshall is 3.6, however, when i start reading on this thread, people here agreed 3.8 is the average. which one is more accurate?

No one knows the headcounts for the schools and no one knows the admit rates for specific schools.

For Marshall, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that the average admit GPA is between 3.6 and 3.8. Shoot for that range.

I would say aim as high as you can. And make sure you have the highest grades possible in the pre-requisites (a lot more A’s than B’s).

safe to say my theory was a dud

to whoever sent in their financial aid appeals, where did you send them/how (in letter form or e-mail)? what is recommended??

I wrote a letter in wordpad, printed it and signed it. I also included some supporting documentation and faxed it to the financial aid office. Make sure you print out the proper fax cover sheets from the cover sheets library in OASIS.

Actually I got an email from them saying that they modified my award based on my appeal, but my award hasn’t been updated yet. We’ll see how that goes. I’m nervous. :l

what is the fax number and what is the address? which coversheet is it?

jeez LOL.

I applied to the film school and got into the University as an undeclared major. Does anyone know stats on transferring into the film school from within the university. I only want to go to USC if I can go to the School of Cinematic Arts and I feel like a chance as a Spring Transfer might be worth the shot.
