<p>justchill, they aren’t allowed to tell spring admits over the phone, but i think they normally tell you if you get in or not this late in the summer, so hopefully you got in for spring! :D</p>

intro to shakespeare 
western civ 1500
principles of macroeconomics
intro to business
newswriting I
(apparently the first 2 fulfill gen ed requirements for USC)
taking tough courses because i figure they would be even tougher at SC
what about you guys? what classes do you think you’ll take? the articulation agreeent between my CC and USC isn’t available anymore, so i’m just taking guesses at what fills certain gen eds.
also, we’re allowed to really do anything with our fall semester. i think it suggested traveling, school, or working…so i’m guessing they don’t really care.</p>

The last couple days have been so great seeing marco and collegehopeful and all the others with their good news and a HUGE relief today to see kmzizzle is IN!</p>

<p>kmizzle - there’s another orientation on July 24, but the deadline to sign up was on July 17. You may be able to call them to work something out. They also said they may add additional dates if necessary. If not, you’re going to have to wait until August.</p>
<p>A lot of the fun GE courses were full when I registered on July 1, but there were many still open. I’m not sure how it’s going to look for your major courses. I’m in film production, so we have a very specific sequence that we have to take, and we need “D-clearance” to sign up for our classes. Basically, they have a seat reserved for everyone admitted to the program, and no one outside of the School of Cinematic Arts can sign up for the production classes. I’m not sure if it works the same way for other majors. </p>
<p>During orientation they also told us that they block out some seats in some of the classes for late admits. They appear as full in the schedule of classes, but as the process goes along, they open some of the slots.</p>

<p>hey how does USC feel about online classes for fulfilling the prereqs? I’m trying to take one of the classes for GE (category ii) but the only one that fits my schedule is an online art class.</p>
<p>panda - USC doesn’t like online classes. However, the school I’m transferring from doesn’t differentiate between online or regular classes on their transcripts. I had to take an online class a few semesters back for the same reason, and my transcript just mentions the name of the class, the number of units, and my grade. You may want to check with the counseling or records office at your school to see if they denote online classes on your transcripts.</p>

<p>For the person who asked, I’m currently at an HBCU near home that I’ve got a full ride+ at… But I hate it there, and I don’t think it’s serving me well socially or academically. I’m still conflicted about staying, because obviously USC is a LOT of money (going from literally paying nothing), and it’s far away from my siblings and friends, but… My current school and I just weren’t a good fit.</p>

<p>yeah, but i will have to just explain to them my situation or something. i kinda doubt that’s gonna happen though…i would take out loans and, as previously said, whore myself on the corner of Hollywood and Vine for money :)</p>
