<p>So even after a very generous financial aid appeal, I still will not be able to afford USC. My family fell into a rough economic situation this spring, and my current university has given me enough additional aid to support me.</p>
<p>I am withdrawing from USC and hopefully changing my major at my current institution to “fix” things academically. I’ll possibly apply to USC for grad school, though the future on that is very uncertain.</p>
<p>I’m really upset, but it’s okay. I got in, I am enrolled (for only a few more days…) and I feel like a Trojan! C:</p>

<p>Marco, I’m already looking into loans and scholarships because I know that I cannot afford all of the tuition by myself without any financial aid. But like you, I already committed and am planning to go.

<p>yeah, i prob should start doing research for scholarships and loans too. not yet…my thing updated today, but it stills says “being reviewed.” i checked the mail today and there was a letter from the USC FA department and i was like !!!FA info!!! but it ended up being another letter saying that they need more info. have you heard yet?</p>

<p>So I called admissions to see why I haven’t received my packet even though my application was acted on two weeks ago and they told me they sent my packet to the wrong address. All the hope I had for getting on-campus housing is pretty much gone…■■■. </p>
<p>Anyway, does anyone know how long financial aid packets usually take to arrive after acceptance?</p>
<p>It took two weeks for my financial aid to post on OASIS, and 2-3 days later the hard copy arrived at my house. That was during the peak of decisions, though. It may take less time now.</p>

<p>i applied for housing alreadt. if you haven’t, you should sign up ASAP because it’s on a first come first serve basis. they don’t guarantee it, but i read on some other thread that spring admits usually get campus housing, but i’m not sure if that info is legit or not…i hope it is, lol. if i don’t get it then idk what to do. i guess they give you options at orientation, but orientation is like 5 days before the semester starts. they don’t let us know about our room assignments until november either…which i find it lame because it doesn’t leave us very much time to make a backup plan if we get stuck without a room.</p>
