(continued)…also i dont think USC should be compared to a high priced house or car. Those are tangable things. USC is something you earn and deserve if you qualify…completely different things in my opinion. i think its better to compare to say if you won a prestigious award but they made you pay a ridiculous amount of money to recieve it…

You must agree that education is becoming something different than it was 20 years ago. Its a business to make money…especially these private schools. Thats what i’m really complaining about here… hopefully that makes sense.

finch - use the GPA that your school uses. Whatever appears on your current transcripts is what you plug into the GPA space on the app. Once SC gets your transcripts, they will assign you a USC Transferable GPA. Once you get in, they’ll give you a Transfer Credit Report which tells you your SC GPA and number of units accepted in transfer.

glitzer: you’re sense of self-entitlement is stunning. get over your middle class, orange county chip on your shoulder. i only hope that if and when you do make it to usc that you keep your eyes open and begin to recognize how socio-economically privileged you truly are.

glitzer, the UC system sounds right for you. You’re “middle-class” in the richest area in the richest state in the richest country in the world. Get over it. Go someplace else if USC is not right for you.

WOW guys, its amazing all the criticism i got from that.

Thank you, i am venting thats all i am doing. not attacking anyone here? if i did, i’m sorry.

USC is the only school on the west coast that offers my major. Therefore the UC system is not right for me. You made a valid suggestion, however, UC’s don’t have a music business degree. NYU is just as expensive, and plane tickets aren’t cheap either. …

yes, i do know i am lucky. Way luckier than most people. however, i’m still stuck with a HUGE financial burden and i’m going to do my very best to make that as minimal as possible…

nonetheless, i’m stoked for the spring and can’t wait.

Hey guys! It’s been a long time. I can’t wait to start school! I finally opened a facebook about two weeks ago. What was that link that was setup for this thread, I can’t find it. Thanks.

Hello I’m applying for fall 10 but the other thread is really not moving. Can somebody tell me what are the average gpa for international relations and international relations/ global business ?

hey guys! i haven’t been here in so long either. i can’t wait!! i think it’s gonna be 107 days until i fly out there. i am like 90% sure i’ll be staying at tuscany. if any of you get offered a spot there, i would take it. it’s amazing!

jsutherland- I chose all the same ones you did haha but I’m the same way. Im just trying to get on campus housing even if its not one of the ones i chose.

marco- how did you get a spot in tuscany? Have you already heard from housing?

The average GPA for international relations transfers was 3.5-3.6 last year, but USC is gradually raising their standards for admitted transfers each year.
