the worst part is that SGR’s and rejections will both come in small envelopes…

I think I will get SGR, so it would suck if I do not and only get a rejection. ughhh all this waiting…

im gonna be a sophomore, i would be surprised if i didn’t get get an SGR.

I know for a fact that I won’t be getting an SGR. Good news, bad news. It’s a clear yes or no for them and an earlier decision for me.

I am going to be a sophomore as well, but there is a possibility that they do not ask for an SGR and you are rejected right?

@MBTown - Yes, there is a possibility. I think sophomores can also be out right accepted though too.

I got the “We are reviewing your application. Sometimes we require additional information…” status update today!

@TheGoldFinch How do you know that you will not get an SGR?

@ LagunaSC

I’m done with CC. I completed my AA two weeks ago. They can’t SGR me without any grades to send in! Hahah

How long does it usually take from status change to a decision? Anybody know? Surely we can’t all be getting decisions the last week of May…

My status still reads “We have received and are currently reviewing your application. We recommend you check here occasionally for an update on the status of your application”

@archieg
didnt you go through the process last year?? but based off last year, it seems that people got accepted late this month and got SGR early may and most people began to hear about acceptances in mid may

but this is all speculation based on last years thread:
ttp://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/704200-usc-transfer-decisions-2009-official-thread.html

Posted on the 27th. That means we could be looking at less than 3 weeks from now!

Seeing that the first person to post was an Economics major(my major) on the 27th of April last year just made me so excited haha. Anyways, talked to my admissions counselor today. Great guy–ended up talking to him about the NBA for a little. I hope my 3.91 GPA(after I receive my straight A’s this semester which I’m pretty much guaranteed now) and 51 units since(and including) last Spring lands me in!! Everything is making me so nervous now!

@rhandler33 I’m sure that you’ll get in and all of us are freaking out a little too much. It made me freak out a little bit looking at all your guys stats and everbody from the previous years too. But if you think about it, mostly the people that have the grades and are dedicated to USC would be posting on this thread in the first place.

Is it true that SGR and rejection letters come in the same envelope? Since I’m applying as a sophomore transfer, I’m just about positive I’ll either get a rejection or SGR. If this is the case, opening that envelope will be quite an experience…

I assume that both of them will come in a standard envelope but if anyways knows for sure that will make that experience a lot less stressful…

you will know in advance if you are getting a SGR

your status will either say “your application has been acted upon…” (which is rejection or acceptance) OR the status will say they are requesting your spring grades and that you will have by June 30th to send them

so no worries

@jocelyne626 thanks, thats a relief

Yeah I think I’ve picked up my checking of my app status to now 5+ times a day…freaking out a litttttle too much haha
