yeah it’s not really reliable but just a way to find out early if you guys wanted to try it

I wonder when CLAS will start sending out decisions.

All it does is try to access a page that may or may not be accessible to your account in usconnect. When someone is admitted, their account gains access to the page. It doesn’t hurt usc for applicants to try to access it although if they knew how often people tried it I’m sure they’d get a chuckle out of it.

@aaronyan - Congrats!! stats please

Samuel when did you submit your application?

Same with you Aaron, when did you apply?

I have my last prereq for Marshall this semester which is microeconomics, and I have the same professor as last semester which i had macroeconomics and I got an A. I’m also in my professors fantasy baseball league (he invited me) and hes pretty awesome and told me pretty much that Im getting an A. Anyways, should I print off the sheet from USC’s website which says if you have a prereq in progress to send them the grade as soon possible with your professor’s signature. Should I have my professor fill that out right now and send it to usc? or should I wait until its closer to the actual end of the semester which is May 13th? Because I already have an A and there isn’t that much work left in the class or would it be weird for me to send in the unofficial grade too early?

@tbibbs - if you have an A and your prof will sign you off I say send it in b/c it can not hurt right?

@samuel kim–why did you block out your name but you wrote it on a post-it and its your user name??

@MBtown - yeah thats what I’m thinking and it says "The Marshall Admission Committee will require final grades for all prerequisite courses. We will accept an informal final grade report in lieu of the official transcript. The final grade form must be completed by the course instructor. Submission of the informal grade report may significantly expedite the application review process. Please be advised that while an admission decision may be rendered; you are responsible for the submission of an official Final transcript.

If you have pre-major requirements in progress at the time of your application submission; please print a grade report form for each of your instructors. You may download a grade report form here."

so I am hoping if I send it in now, that maybe Ill hear back sooner? I am a freshman too so I think they will require all the pre-reqs done to make a decision

wow 2 people got their acceptance packets today? congrats!!!

i hope i’m next! lol. eeeeeeeeek this is so nervewrecking!!!

i tried the the link that wghiller gave…and it said that web activity is logged and that it is only for admitted students…

however, when i tried the other link, i was able to click on the deposit box link and it said i was not an authorized…

you think accessing it affects your admission at all?

@Gion- I don’t think so. It’s not like we’re accessing anything that is intended only for admitted students. If we aren’t admitted, the website simply won’t work. A load of people on the SCA thread were checking it frequently and were admitted.

@gionrio - It is only for admitted students as in only admitted students can access it.

I have a quick question for you guys.

On Monday I am going to enroll in a few classes for the summer session at my CC in order to get some GEs out of the way for USC. I wanted to know that if I take any of these courses online, will USC still grant GE credit for them, or do they only want the course to be taken in a traditional format? I am almost positive that taking the course in-class or online will have no affect on this, but I just wanted to confirm it. Thanks for any info.

heyy im a Viterbi applicant. I hope mine comes next week.

@MBtown thanks! haha, my bad.
School: UCSB
GPA: 3.8
Major: Mechanical Engineering

@wghiller I applied near the end of January. I got my supplemental information in pretty quickly (two weeks).

@spin03 if you read the transferring to usc brochure it says that some online classes may be transferred… or something like that. my cc doesn’t remark the format the class was taken though. I’ve taken tons of online classes next to tons of in class ones and they all show up the same on my transcript.

@aaron so you got the supplemental in ASAP? God I hope they release my decision this week.

@daisydaisy

Alright. On the Articulation Agreement, they state that Science courses with a lab and foreign language courses taken online will not transfer for GE credit, so I assumed those would be the only exceptions, but I just wanted to confirm it. Thanks!
