If I did not disclose that I went to another University… but I have 90 units at JC and only went to the University for 1 semester in which the classes wouldn’t transfer anyways… do you guys think its an automatic deny? It’s unscrupulous but it’s only because of some medical things that I didn’t feel it was necessary to bring to their attention.

Once I was caught then I obviously had to send a transcipt and explicate myself. certainley sounds squirrelly doesn’t It? I think i’m out

Question-

There is a spot on the application for test scores. USC doesn’t require test scores for transfers, right? As long as you’ve completed 30+ transferable hours.

^ Correct. They’ll weigh you’re College record more than your high school record. Though if you did pretty good on them, then it wouldn’t hurt to send them.

how weird…marshall usually hears last dont they?

Lol I thought CLAS applicants were supposed to hear back last. Or maybe because there are so many CLAS applicants that the dates they hear back vary. o_O

The whole process this year seems to be moving at a faster pace.

Compared to last year’s thread, status updates came sooner.

The date for the first acceptance was end of April last year, and we already have acceptances this year.

@Spada100 - USC checks the national student clearinghouse to see every college you have attended. If you attended another school and did not disclose, they will contact you to ask why this is and request you either send in a transcript or have the college write a letter to usc admissions stating you did not attend.

I’d consider requesting a copy of the transcript just to save time on this.

@evangilionn… have you tried logging into the deposit page?..from last year’s thread many applicants that were accepted but hadn’t received their packages were able to login…

oh. can you post the link here?
but i dont think i am able to login anyway since my status just changed yesterday-.-

i guess it’s referred to as the “backdoor method”…the whole description and link are on page 180 reply #2693 of this same thread…

What is the “back door method” of checking your acceptance?

1) Open USConnect in Internet Explorer. Not Firefox, Internet Explorer. Or whatever you use normally to view USConnect. I find that IE is the most reliable for this job. If you use Firefox you can go to the “admitted applicants” page from the dropdown menu and log in manually by clicking the “enrollment deposit” box. But that’s the long way. If you try copy and pasting the URL into Firefox, you’ll just get a blank page.
2) Log in to USConnect. You may want to check the Admission tab first to see if you’ve gotten the boxes on your portal yet. If not, then move onto step 3.
3) Without closing the page where you just logged in, copy and paste the link

https://usconnect.usc.edu:447/Render/ServiceRender/AdmUGCertification.aspx

into the same page’s URL box. Go to this new URL. It’s important that you don’t close the page where you initially logged in, otherwise it will log you out and you’ll get a blank page.
4) A white page will come up with the “enrollment deposit” box in the top left corner. Click the box.
5) It will either say “user is unauthorized” or it will have a form pre-filled with your name, address, etc. You want the latter.
6) Sometimes this method doesn’t work even if you have been accepted. It takes up to 7 days for the link to work so even if it doesn’t let you access it, you still may have been accepted.

If I were you, I’d wait a couple of days. I noticed someone posted something I thought was very true. I applied as a Freshman and was also concerned with the status updates. It seemed as if there was trend. Once, the status changed to committee review, it never stayed for that long. It usually was followed by the being reviewed again. In the case for transfer it would be the committee has taken action.

Basically you want your status to change to “committee review” and then to the committee has acted upon your application. All of this happening within a week or so. Remember these are just my observations with the trends I saw/am seeing.

Some screen shots of how it should look.

WHOA… WHOA THE BACKDOOR METHOD WORKED FOR ME…i see “Confirm your intent…blah blah”
last time i tried it, it said "user is unauthorized.

GOOD NEWS? cheers.

@Dainese

Thanks. I tried everything but it seems just to “shrink”. Haha.

guys I appreciated your posts!
i just tried it but it said “user not authorized”.
well, i guess i will just wait for a week and try it again!
Thanks for all the inputs!

@Dainese
