They either never updated CC with their status, or they simply bypassed the “application is being reviewed” status. There are people who get in without status changes.

Hi, so I’m a USC 2010 transfer as well…

I received this email a long time ago:
This message confirms that the University of Southern California has received your online Part 2 application for admission. Once we have had a chance to process your application, we will send you a confirmation letter through postal mail. In the meantime, should you have any questions or concerns, you are welcome to contact us via e-mail at <a href=“mailto:admitusc@usc.edu”>admitusc@usc.edu</a> or via telephone at (213) 740-1111. Thank you for your interest in USC. You will be hearing from us again soon.

But I never got anything in the mail.

Also, this is what my status says:
"The University of Southern California is pleased to offer the ability of students to receive online messages regarding the status of their application. However, all decision notifications are made via postal mail. "
“Undergraduate Application (Part II, Fall 2010)
Thank you for submitting your Part 2 application. Applications can take several days before being processed. Please check back later for any updates to your application status.”

@makin it rain - login to <a href=“https://usconnect.usc.edu//[/url]”>https://usconnect.usc.edu//</a> using IE or safari, click on admissions, then on undergraduate application (make sure popup blocker is off) and it’ll show you the app status.

so for Univ of Miami I need to let them know by May 1st, for North Carolina I need to let know them by May 11th. I emailed USC today asking if I can get my decision asap…do you think they will?

@jocelyne- no. just make a commitment to another school and pay the deposit. it doesnt mean you HAVE to go to those other schools.

^^ Yup, I’ll most likely have to do the same thing myself soon. Pick whichever one you’d rather go to if USC doesn’t work out for you.

@Jocelyne626 Agree with SouthOCTrojan… they won’t tell you. Just pretend you get rejected and do whatever actions you have to in order ot attend your second school.

I am doing the same thing, ive applied for housing and everything at arizona and oregon so i have somewhere just in case, its money, but money comes and goes. its worth it if worse comes to worse.
