hey everyone i just got my acceptance package!!! yaaaayyyyyy! super excited… i was so worried about the backdoor method being a good sign

@mrxl33 - I think they might on Saturdays but not Sunday. This is also a holiday weekend so they might all get Saturday off for the 3 day weekend?

I’m a international relations in global bizz major, and I’m freaking out now bc I’ve had the forwarded to committee status for a couple weeks now…

I was just wondering, is there an appeal process if I do get rejected for Fall 2010?
If so, what is it and where can i find it?

@kulakai Yes, memorial day week, this is one memorial day weekend I will not enjoy lol I have a feeling statuses will not be updated till June 1st…

Just got my package in the mailll!!!
IM A TROJAN

Congrats bessahousemafia :)

why am I still stuck on forwarded :(…

BIG WHITE ENVELOPE ARRIVED JUST NOW - FALL 2010!!!. Got forwarded on Thursday, hasn’t changed to acted on. Back door worked yesterday. IR major - sophomore - WOW

@figggggggy- according to last year thread USC don’t have appeal process for transfer…
I am stuck on the forwarded status for couple weeks too, so who knows I might need to confirm the appeal process soon
but looks like they don’t have it

uscmom123- congrats!!! I think they are probably not changing some status anymore but instead just sent them the good news! I hope I am too…I am about to go check my mail box now then

Congratulations, bessahousemafia, uscmom123 and coralgirl23.

Personally, I don’t believe the theory that people have “probably” already received rejections. My status changed to “forwarded to” like a month ago, and I’m almost certain I am rejected, but I haven’t heard a thing from USC. I started thinking, would USC benefit in any way from sending out rejections before June 1st. Honestly, aside from maybe lowering the number of calls they get from anxious students, I don’t think so. However, my theory is that, if they wait until June 1st, it would be a huge benefit, because they can admit students up to the last second, fill every spot, and also, look at how many students have already accepted/rejected their admissions offers to see if there is extra spots.

All I’m saying is, lets not kid ourselves, USC is concerned with USC, not with the students they’re going to reject. They could care less about rejecting us before the June 1st deadline, because it’s not in their best interest. I guess you could say it’s a bit selfish.

One thing to keep in mind is that USC will also be sending out Spring Admits which no one has received yet so try to stay hopeful.

@zpaintballer thanks, :D, good luck to you !

@bessahousemafia congrats my fellow trojan!

Sigh I’m losing hope.

I got a couple of letter of recs from ppl I’ve worked with and known though, and they’re usc alumni. And the dean wrote a letter back to them saying they’ll take everything they said about me into consideration, and how he appreciates letters from alumni. and “thank you for bringing her to my attention”.

Is that normal, or does it happen to letters from all alumni to show appreciation?

any SGR people get admitted yet?
im curious! i only have one week of school left and have a 4.0 so far

where are the SGR people at? we can do thisss :)

any more sca people get in? Still waiting for the mail…

GPA: 3.88
Transferable GPA: 4.0

Which one matters?

@Whisper Transferable, though they will see the grades that affect the drop to the 3.88, they will not let those grades influence their decisions at all.

@jcarroll6

I noticed that you applied as a Philosophy, Politics, Law major. I did the same, and my status has been “forwarded for committee review” for about a month as well… n it’s kinda making me wonder about the whole rejection thing too.
I was wondering what your stats are?
Cuz I’m a non-traditional student, I took a break from school and worked for about a year, and came back performing much better. But my academic history for my first year of school wasn’t too good. So i have no idea what my chances are. I was wondering if that’s what hurt my case.
Would you be planning to try again next year?
Best of luck.
