I e-mailed my counselor about my SGR and i got the status "Your application has been forwarded for committee review. " has anyone else with a SGR receieved this??

@tbibbs

I submitted my transcript last week and I still have the “We have received the spring grades requested by the committee” status.

I’m starting to be hopeful again. Please, USC, don’t bring me down :(

Congrats to everyone whose been accepted so far!

@yootop

Arcadefire posted saying he received a transfer merit scholarship but he never posted how he found out. I would assume it would come in the letter or maybe with the FA package?

@mgunko Yeah, I would think that would mean spring because fall semester starts in August

@deborahmei: It’s like I always say: They save the best for last. :D

Oh and the required Transcript went away!! I hope this means a decision will be soon!!! What are people doing for housing that get in after June 1???

For everybody who’s been accepted recently, what are you guys looking at for housing?

My housing plans got kinda screwy, so I may or may not need somebody as a backup lol.

Anybody wanting to stay at Troy hall?

@skyline. AW! From your lips to USC’s ears.

Hey everyone, quick question. This is what my undergrad app says online:

Undergraduate Application (Part II, Fall 2010)
We have received and are currently reviewing your application. We recommend you check here occasionally for an update on the status of your application.

So am I still waiting?

Anyway to find out online, such as seeing if like Fin Aid accepted me or something regarding enrollment?

My P.O. Box where I get all my mail is 20-ish miles away so I might go there tonight to see…but nevertheless figured I’d ask here.

:]

Congrats to everyone accepted!

mrxl33, I don’t know if you can choose which classes to transfer if you have over 64. I guess you should call or email them.

@lostmarch I’m still awaiting the financial aid package, you should definetly wait and see what you’re getting and it really won’t be as bad as you think. I have a friend who was paranoid about paying for USC when she applied to transfer this year and she just got a $34,000 university grant ontop of calgrant and federal pelgrant, so don’t be so hasty to say you can’t afford it. My parents cannot afford it but seeing as we have a low efc of 1900, we’re hoping we’re going to get a similar amount in university grants. I have a total of $13,000 from calgrants and federal pel grants combined.

@kielyy If you’re going to be a junior next year, which I assume you are because of the amount of credits you’ve accrued, I wouldn’t recommend reapplying to USC again not because I don’t think you can make it, but you’re going to be spending an entire year taking upper division courses at UCI and none of those classes will transfer over to USC, so you will be essentially wasting money/time of an entire year’s worth of schooling if you do get into USC for 2011-2012 year. But, however, if you think your chances will be better next year when you apply, you should go with your instinct, but say you do make it next year and transfer there, you have to spend another 2 years and potentially 2 years and 1 semester in order to graduate from USC. It’s all based on risks and I guess how bad you really wanna go to USC. Good luck with your decisions though.

I currently attend UCR and I know first hand from the quarter experience that you are going to be taking 1x the amount of classes as people in semesters and you’re going to be lost with what you’re going to take, on one hand you want to transfer to USC so you don’t want to devote too much effort to UCI’s upper division classes cause they don’t transfer over, at one hand you don’t wanna be seen as lazy and just sitting there, waiting for the acceptance to come… so you’re in a predicament because it’s your 3rd year in college.

@holidays

I’m in the exact same situation. I called admissions and they told me my application hasn’t been decided on yet. But then an hour later it got forwarded. Maybe you should call admissions tomorrow if you don’t get a status change.

I’m thinking that USC probably got a heavy load of applicants this year and haven’t gone through all of them. Annenberg didn’t even start sending out letters until the end of May.

rejected! good luck to all you Trojans!

still on forwarded status…longer its on forwarded the worse, I’m now 100% sure I am gonna get a rejection…

mrxl33, is that really the case?

I’m not even reviewed yet. Guess it makes sense though…*****!

so I went through the backdoor method and used the second link and pre filed form came up. how do i check which major i was accepted as?

holidays, look for my post on page 643 for a method that might indicate your acceptance. If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t necessarily mean rejection.

socal4, I don’t think there’s a way to check which major you were accepted to.

@tbibbs - A handful of us marshall applicants, mostly admitted, have been exploring housing options together. I got an sgr and my app still hasn’t been sent for final review so I’m afraid I won’t find out for a few more weeks at this rate so I’ll probably end up having to scramble for housing at the last minute.

Since u guys are on the subject, I was wondering whether you have to pay the housing rate per semester for summer as well? Or is it just for fall and spring semester?
