WHen you guys see the form through the backdoor method, what does it say for its due date?

@mgunko - Mines says 6/1/2010, or within two weeks of receiving your letter of admission.

So I definitely got admitted to Spring. Does anyone know if there is any chance to be bumped up to fall? I already have 72 units complete so it’s not like I can take more courses at a CC. So I just don’t know what I would do leading up to the spring semester:/

mgunko- what does your say???

It says that it is due on September, 1 2010 for Spring enrollment. I didn’t even expect to get accepted so it was a nice surprise

so transfers can get in for spring?

Apparently so! I did!

@ilovemtsac, thanks for the info…btw, like ur username

and can someone post (or link) how to do the backdoor method

thx

@TheGoldFinch - Congrats x2 on transfer merit scholarship :)

@mgunko - Yes you can get bumped up but you can’t request, usc just does it automatically. USC is good about working with you to advise on what you can do to be productive such as take any additional courses you might need for usc at a local cc, volunteering, work, study abroad for a semester sometimes??

@kielyy - That is too bad. Well I would hope simply going to a UC still gives you a leg up over business grads from HK S&T University or University of Hk back home.

REJECTED - ANNENBERG (Communication)
Santa Rosa Junior College
3.86 GPA / 65 units after Spring
Every Pre-req & Gen Ed. completed except for Spanish III
Solid ec’s. & a decent essay.

*I’m really surprised that I was rejected but fortunately I was already planning on going to UC Berkeley. I got my letter in the mail yesterday.

Backdoor method worked yesterday … Acted on status this morning.

Is there supposed to be an enrollment box that shows up under the Admission tab as well? How long does that usually take?

Yes. My enrollment box showed up a day after the backdoor method worked. I wouldn’t look at that as a firm deadline, though. I imagine that it could take as long as until your packet arrives.

I hate asking this but… what are the chances of getting into Marshall?

How are you guys feeling about getting an SGR ?
If accepted will we be offered spring adminssion?

@sbrry7 - An SGR, sadly, does not guarantee admission even if you have a 4.0 for the spring. Undergraduate business programs generally do not allow spring admission for transfers. This includes Marshall as they only admit students to start in the Fall semester.

how about for transfers who applied to CLAS (undeclared)?

i heard that ppl get in for spring…what do they look for in SGR? like upward trend? or like maintaining the trend?

thanks to anyone who helps

@rbkhoops21 - Yes they will admit CLAS transfers to spring if Fall is full. In an SGR they look for maintaining or increase in GPA or the satisfactory completing of any pre-reqs that are currently in progress for your major.

Did anyone else get an email from FA today requesting a ridiculous amount of invasive information?

@TheGoldFinch

Congratulations! That’s really awesome. :)

Was the scholarship included in your original FA package? You were accepted late April/early May, and they just notified you of this?

i havent recieved the letter from USC bc i moved to a new place n i didnt update my new address…
but i guess i’m most likely rejected? haha
so how many ppl here got into SCA?? i’m just curious:)
