@Arielle28 I didn’t have a GPA requirement either. Here’s to hoping for the best!

how are your guys’ financial aid packages? i got a 32,000 grant from USC, the pell grant, and my scholarship should cover the rest to sum up about 48,000 from financial aid. i might have to take out some loans to cover my family’s EFC. hopefully i can get it lowered

lovingSC, I’m not sure how much work they do on weekends but statuses can definitely change.

madeforusc, well, we were all speculating by looking at previous information. Apparently you can appeal. Best of luck :D. Would you mind telling us how it works, for future years, if you decide to do it?

itsyouitsme, if it says you have around two weeks to submit your deposit then you’re a fall admit. If it’s later in the year, then you’re a spring admit.

fujiwarae86, here’s mine: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/743892-usc-2010-transfer-thread-518.html#post1064875118

I submitted the housing application yesterday morning. It says received.
Out of curiosity, do you guys still have blue sections on the side?

how do i check if USC f. aid website?

@ nothingelse–i emailed them last night asking what would happen if I didn’t receive credit. I’m waiting on a response and I’ll let you know. My math course is a GE requirment also, but my major is english. Have you talked to any admission counselors yet?

Sent in my Spring grades today. C’mon SC!
Also, I found out my dad totally knows Ronald Tutor, so he wrote a letter kind of subtly, nicely asking if he can put in a good work at the FA office if I get admitted. So I’m crossing my fingers.

spiderman2010, the easiest way is to check the financial aid awards under the financial aid tab on USConnect.

dayum. i just saw a Rolls Royce with a “USC alumni” plate on the 22 freeway.

Are u guys SGR?

@striker15: no, I’m missing my international transcript and they didnt fwd my app to the committee until two weeks ago.

Do transfer have to take the math placement exam portion of the pre-orientation hw?

@itsyouitsme what fb groups? haha

still waiting just sent in my spring grades

@boss259 The grants you may receive are from Federal/State (California)/ or University Grant from USC, but you need to have completed the FAFSA/Cal Grant/CSS Profile on time in order to qualify for the grants. I’m assuming you have since you found out your EFC, but given that your EFC is implying that your expected family contribution is $49,000 indicates that you probably don’t or won’t receive much aid from grants. Also all the scholarships that you could have applied for have already passed, other than the transfer merit scholarship which you are automatically entered in for if you submitted your USC application on time.

Congrats itsyouitsme and XueJLi

Quentin13, it depends. Go here, [Welcome to the USC Orientation Programs Website](http://sait.usc.edu/orientation/testing/math.shtml). If you’re in any of those majors or you’re taking Chemistry 105a or Physics 151 then you have to take it. The exception is if you’ve already finished all your math requirements for your major and aren’t taking that Chem. or Phys. course.
