USC 2010 Transfer Thread

@Serapher - thanks! i just turned in my enrollment deposit todayy so hopefully it works in like 2 days :)

Does everyone know which dorm is better?

Off-topic: I’d just like to say I am a fan of deliciousmelon’s username.

Hey everyone.

If anyone who is still waiting on an SGR decision can do me a small favor and check their USConnect to see if your status section is missing? I just checked mine and it’s missing; it’s also asking me to submit/update my profile. Kind of weird. I don’t know if it’s a technical glitch or what???

@Budlightyear: I just logged in and the same thing happened. This is really strange. Last night I had the usual “We are unable to process your application…”.

It is a technical glitch. I got the same thing, no need to worry.

@Kulakai: Thanks :)

Okay, thank you guys! I hope you guys are doing well. Any of you taking summer courses?

dchrysler: I’m also still at the “We are unable to process blah blah blah…”

Kulakai: Any progress so far from you?

Nope. I’m coming up on 5 weeks now since they got my transcript without any status change to forwarded to committee. It can’t be positive for me if they’ve taken thing long, oh well.

I did submit my deposit to my backup though and I’ve started to get myself pumped up about going there instead.

Kulakai - I wish you the best of luck, buddy! I hope we cross paths one day, if not at USC, somewhere down in the corporate world. But it isn’t over until the final decision is made, I sincerely hope you get a decision in your favor; you seem to be a good person to be around -that goes to a lot of other people on this thread as well.

I went to purchase my summer text books today and I’ve been reminded of how much I hate the d-bags and wannabe strippers at my school. Maybe it’s because I’m just a bit (a lot) older than most of them, but I just can’t stand it anymore.

Thanks. I’m sure everything will work out the way it is supposed to. I feel ya, glad to be done at my cc and looking forward to working with other students as academically motivated as I am next year no matter where I end up.

There needs to be a “Like this” option (Facebook) for even mentioning “d-bags and wannabe strippers.” Haha – love it.

Epic. Best of luck to everyone waiting to hear back. I probably would have had a conniption by now.

Skyline - I’m sure you’re familiar with the Orange County area since you’re from Mission, so you know exactly what I’m talking about. haha.

I think the next 20 or so days will have something in store for all of us. It’s been a long wait, but a decision, whether favorable or not, will set free the monkeys on our shoulders, and perhaps, bring forth new excitement for future roads ahead.

To all those of you who are STILL waiting for a decision, listen to some more cool music (this time with a USC touch  )

[YouTube - Coheed and Cambria - Welcome Home (Feat. USC Marching Band) - Live at Coachella](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twIxvZjZq1E)

The thread’s second Coheed and Cambria reference! We’re now BFFs, Politricks! Haha

Weird question: When signing up for USC email, did it ask for some kind of “challenge question”/“secret question” for password recovery?

I’m getting the update information “bug” I guess. For like a full month it said they had received my transcripts from the SGR and that they will forward them asap. Did anyone actually update their information? I did, and it now says:

Begin your Part I Undergraduate Application (Fall 2011)
Once started, Part I must be submitted before beginning Part II.

I really hope this isn’t foreshadowing a decision. They gave me a SGR, I took a full course load, got a 4.0 and completed both of my missing prereqs. A perfect semester basically. If I don’t get in, I fail to see the point of a SGR in the first place.

I submitted my transcripts in response to an SGR. Now my status is missing and they’ve requested that I update some information. I did the update without much thought and now it’s as if I’ve never applied and have to go through the process from the beginning. Is this happening to anyone else?

my post right above yours :P

@Two people above - It is a technical glitch and I wouldn’t worry as I imagine they’ll sort it out by tomorrow.

Damn sorry that you guys are all still waiting! I am pulling for you! Good luck!!
