<p>I have a question. Do you guys know if transfers will have as many opportunities to get involved in research programs with faculty as freshmen at USC? </p>
<p>I’m planning to go to grad school for clinical psychology and heard that involvement in research, and sometimes even publication with faculty is necessary to get accepted to a PhD program at grad school, but how can we, transfers, with limited time, make that happen??</p>
<p>Especially publishing an article/book with faculty while undergrad doesn’t seem too realistic to me…</p>

<p>CLAS has a program called Student Opportunities for Academic Research (SOAR) that gives you such great opportunity.</p>
<p>@hon3ytea that’s what probably happened. Last year I was rejected for Film Production however got accepted into their Judaic Studies program. This occured because I had a written an indepth paragraph on how I felt for the plight of the Jews during the holocaust. To answer your question, if you wrote something that impressed your second school, then yes, you took over the spot for that person who had that specific major as their first choice.</p>
<p>Anyone’s status is still “We have received…”? I wonder whether submitting really close before the Feb.1 deadline will delay the admission process.</p>
