USC 2011 Transfer Thread

@SS02Trojan:
:smiley: that provides me with a little more enthusiasm haha. When I did my application I didn’t know that not all my classes transferred. At my current community college I have a 3.71. But I found out just a month ago that after articulating my classes it is a 3.4 :frowning: other than that, everything else was pretty solid.

My status is the same “transfer status,” but after seeing these 2 acceptances, I don’t think they mean that much. Hopefully we get our packages soon :D

*Edit: After looking back at your post, I have A’ced every one of my architecture classes, so hopefully that helps! haha, probably wont though lol

Congrats !!!

its so exciting that people are starting to hear! congrats!

OMG congrats!!! :slight_smile: So exciting.

So does this mean those that didnt have 30 credits at the time of applying will be getting spring grade requests pretty soon?!

congrats silly

i’m applying to viterbi as well, hopefully i’ll find out soon as well. Idk if their sending it to my home address or dorm though haha. i literally check my mail everyday now to see if its there

omg congrats silly & good luck to everyone else.

i hope i hear soon.

congrats!

So did anyone make any corrections to their CSS application for USC? The CSS profile asked me to base my numbers off of the 2009 income tax return (when i filed around feb 2nd), but now I have a 2010 income tax return. Does that mean I have to make corrections or change anything?

@sillygrav, Congrats!
did you get an email or letter saying that viterbi recommended you for admissions? and how many pre reccs did you have done e.g calc, physics?

@diver:

Surprisingly no email or anything, just the big admissions package in the mail. I thought the first thing that would reach me would be an email but I guess I was wrong…

As for prereqs, I got 5’s on both the Calc AB and BC AP exams so I was able to test out of Calc I and II at my CC. I did Calc III my first semester (fall 2010) and I’m taking Linear Algebra right now.

By the time I transfer, I’ll have done 3 semesters of Physics (Fluid, Electricity and Magnetism, and Optics), 2 of Writing (101 and 103), 4 of Biology (Organismal. Cellular, Botany, and Zoology), 2 of Chemistry (I and II), 4 of Math (listed above), 1 of foreign language (Spanish I), and some general ed units (History, Art History, Econ, Poly Sci, Health, and I think Anthropology).

We don’t really do chances in here, since it really depends on a lot of things, and none of us want to be misleading. You can try posting in the chance section of the site though :)

@Pinoiako916 Like snizzle said we don’t really chance in here, but I got to ARC too. How cool

miss jay, are you applying to USC as well? What is your major?

I give you exactly a 50% chance to get in Pinoiako916. Either you do get in, or you don’t.

@coolio, are you applying for usc as well as a transfer from a ccc?

What are spring grade requests?

Nah, I’m applying from a small public school in Upstate New York. Applied to USC because I feel like I’d love Cali though I don’t know a single person that goes to school in Cali.

And spring grade requests are them requesting your spring semester grades so that they can make a decision with more information. I think if they ask you for them the SGRs will either make you if they’re good or break you if they’re poor.

did you get accepted to USC?

Haha haven’t heard from them yet =(

what are your stats coolio?
