^^This is very true. Currently waiting on the infamous award letter from Columbia…hope it’s pretty. ;)

Thanks for the reassurance. All the schools I applied to appear to be perfect stepping stones to an unparalleled future, so getting accepted to (and receiving enough financial aid to actually attend) any of them would be a dream come true.

I’ll tell you this much, though- this waiting game is intense, lol. I feel like I’m CONSTANTLY waiting on SOMETHING, and I’m pretty sure the door to my mailbox is about to simply give up and fall off…

I’m 19…turning 20 on May 14. It’s funny how freaked out about my future I am though. I feel like when I’m done with schooling (I think I’ll go to grad school and get a doctorate as of right now) I’m ****ed job-wise.

For an economics major who has to take additional foreign language classes, how crucial are they? If I choose not to take them in CC, will that affect my admission greatly?

Sawasdee krab Bangkok. I’m very glad that I’ve seen at least one Thai existing in this forum. My name is Nat and currently studying at Santa Monica College. I’ve already applied to USC. I.R. is my first major. Meanwhile, I choose SPPD as my second priority. Since I have seen many people have their status changed, I don’t really know why my status is still “We have received your application, and it appears we require no additional information at this time. We will be reviewing applications through the month of March, and we expect to be able to meet our commitment to notify freshmen by April 1st.” Nice to meet you by the way. Are you in a community college? Where do you live now? What are your two majors? Best wishes krab!!!

I have 15 units completed and 16 in progress; I’m applying to usc as a communications major and I had a 3.66 first semester and I will hopefully get a 3.8-4.0 this semester…nervous about getting in…and my admission status is as if I’m a freshman which is frustrating but I’m going to try and call tomorrow, any rumors or updates on when admissions start coming in the masses?

i’m actually not thai haha but i lived in bangkok for 6 years! I go to a 4 year university in Indiana and my 2 majors are opposite of yours (1st choice is SPPD, 2nd choice is IR). I have the same status as you do, but I’m trying not to think too much about the statuses! Good luck!

Seems like we who haven’t fulfilled the 30 credits requirement all stay in the freshman status though…

@transferaddict I tried calling and emailing before, and the woman answering the phone NEVER provided anything useful. All she said was we would guarantee to give u a decision or a spring grade request before Jun.1. For the email, they just basically rephrased that freshman status and replied back It is as frustrating as the freshman status

Ya so hopefully it doesn’t affect when our admission goes out…doubt it but oh well, has anyone called about changing it from the freshman status?

I see we’re still stuck on the statuses. By now you should know that they mean nothing. They are unreliable and you’re reading too much into them. Out of the 2 applicants who were accepted so far, neither followed the projected progression. I think they still have the “We are reviewing.”

yea you guys don’t rely on the statuses like Mitch said. we’ve said it multiple times before, you should only worry if your status says you are “missing information.” if you have that status, then call admissions and see what the issue is. i had less than 30 units at the time of my application and i got the transfer status … so just be patient guys :)

You said you applied as a communication major, are you coming from a CC?
I applied to Annenberg as a junior transfer, I’m currently a sophomore with 62 units completed and 15 in progress with a cumulative 3.85 GPA overall. And only about 45 mins from USC! but I also applied to UCLA’s comm program so i don’t care which of the two I get into.

I have had the worst two weeks EVER. I was ROBBED at work, my car was totaled in a car accident TEN MINUTES after I filled up my 20 gallon tank for $4/gallon (thank you Chicago), the car I’ve been driving for like two days now needs 20 gallons, my paycheck was shorted a bunch of hours and my manager even got rid of my overtime hours, I got to class an hour early today thinking it started at 10 instead of 11, it’s APRIL and there’s SNOW ON THE GROUND (once again thank you Chicago), I got the promotion I wanted but they’re transferring me to some theater in bumble**** that I DID NOT APPLY FOR instead of the one that is NEXT TO MY HOUSE, and I’ve been working 40 hours/week for like two months now.

(edit: I work at a movie theater.)

My mom texts me saying there’s an envelope from USC… and it’s not an acceptance package. -_________- it’s probably a request for my high school transcript which I’ve sent like three times.

COME ON

can something please go my way this week? please?
