Am I the only one who is so much more stressed by this application process compared to the original freshman application process?

I didn’t even think twice about admissions back then. Now, it’s ALL I can think about…

@coolio2244242 no, I’m the same way. I remember senior year I didn’t even pay attention to mail or application statues or anything. Now I check my status and the mail daily lol.

Does anybody know the approximate date Thornton notifies their applicants of the their admissions decision? I noticed a pattern in the past threads. Marshall school of business is the first to notify their applicants, and then I believe its CLAS. Thornton? Any ideas?

Also this is a side question. I’m currently a freshman at NYU trying to transfer to Thornton. Honestly…I admit my GPA is not on the strong side but do you think the committee will take into account that I went to NYU for a year?

UGH THIS WAIT IS MAKING MY BRAIN MELT…nevertheless FIGHT ON!

I still have a transcript and a letter of recommendation that are on their way and should be there. I asked the admissions counselor about it and she said it would take 2 weeks to file through and put in, etc…but would if annenberg reviews my application before then? How do they know more things will be coming…? Anyone else have that problem?

So now i just noticed that under admission documents they a “transcript” is listed…

That must mean im going to get a Spring Grade Request… i know it! o well, i have all A’s.

Do u think my idea is right?

Ya I would think that sounds right…congrats on ucla too!

Well it’s better then be rejected, theres still hope here! and thanks for that.

@coolio and wolf … same! i wasn’t this insane applying as a freshman. first thing i do is rush to check the mail when i get home. and since the usconnect portal works from my phone, i literally check it all day.

@WunNyne … congrats on UCLA! can you post your stats/unit count? :)

@hyethga4lyfe

Yea sure,

I got into UCLA as a Communication major with a 3.85 GPA, 62 units completed and 14 in progress.
EC’s: football coach, film classes, personal trainer, sports in general.
ummm some honor societies, deans list every semester, haha and i mentioned how I won two senior best awards for most talented and funniest.

When do most people find out their decisions? I applied Undeclared. Im getting antsy!

same laxlove… haha everyday when i wake up i go to uscconect to check status and then to cc if anyone got an update. hopefully they start rolling out with decisions soon!

My application status today changed to “Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee” is this a good sign?

Hi all! Now that UCLA decisions are out, I can focus my attention to this thread instead. USC is my first choice and didn’t think I’d hear anything until June. This morning, though, my status changed notifying me that a decision has been made and is in the mail? Does this mean they’ve decided to either admit or reject me, as opposed to requesting spring grades? Or is a spring grade request still a possibility? Also, I live in LA – any idea how long it will be until I should get something in the mail? Thanks in advance! Good luck to all!

If it helps, my status changed to the “admission committee reviewing” one and 3 days later I got my package. Not saying it’s an indication of anything but that’s how mine went

@Laxlove:

Add yourself to the list! Seems like that status has shown a good trend for the people who have got accepted ;)

snizzle77 – any trends with respect to the message I got this morning?

“Undergraduate Application (Part II, Fall 2011)
The committee has acted on your application, and we have mailed notice of the decision. If for some reason you do not receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results this over the phone beginning June 11th.”

Could that go either way, or does it tend toward admit or reject?

And is there a separate status message for spring grade requests?

WunNyne- it could mean you’re accepted… They have to get final transcripts from all admits ya know…
My Columbia status check page said “pending” next to “college transcript” and I found out just before I got accepted that that’s what it meant. Could be wrong, but you should think as positively as possible- it yields better results. :)

@ enzino114: So you’re status says they have started mailing out letters? When I log in to mine, it just says, “it’s unable to process the status of my application”. Also what major did you declare?

wow guys keep the updates coming … looks like they’re going to start rolling out :)
