ACCEPTED! today soooo happy
Viterbi spring admit

CONGRATS!!! Guys, PLEASE post to the decisions thread http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-southern-california/852880-stats-only-usc-decisions-2010-a.html?highlight=stats+2010+decisions If you don’t want to posts your “stats” that is fine - just get your school (CLAS, Viterbi, etc…) and postmark/received date up there so the desperate applicants on the USC forum know there is still hope! THANKS!

i have been on review for a while and recently (about 4-5 days ago) changed to the “forwarded” status… and currently still am…
what does that mean?
usc is my TOP school… please?

Got in today!
Status didnt mean anything
My app got sent to the review committee just two days ago and I got my acceptance today!
status was still “forwarded…”

21,
Are you from the Los Angeles area? I think you are interested in communications. Is that correct?

Warm congratulations…

Got my package last Thursday.
Viterbi fall admit

Fight On!

Acceptances are still arriving in Texas. A Texas student received his acceptance to the BFA program in theatre yesterday. Yesterday a Texas student also received a spring admit to gerontology. Several Texas students received acceptances to Marshall late last week.

Hey, I haven’t heard from them yet, and I live in New Jersey. Anyone know when I might hear from USC?

i want marshall, but it’s collegue of letters, art and science. i applied finance or economics, but it’s math. i don’t know why i am arranged to study math, may be my math in sat1 and sat2 score both were 800. but, i really don’t want to major math. what can i do? please kindly give your opinion.

Can I change my major when I register?

I haven’t gotten mine yet either, and I’m in PA.
I’m hoping today’s the day…

Linkate, economics is in the College of Letters, Art and Science at USC. If you applied for finance or economics and didn’t specify a preference, then USC probably thinks you will be happy with either one. Of course, that still doesn’t solve the mystery of why you are shown as a math major in your acceptance documents. It is hard to believe that economics is part of the math department in CLAS. Call or email the USC counselor for your region ASAP and tell her your problem. While I don’t think there is always a problem changing your major when you register, I do not think that you can switch to the Marshall School of Business when you register. My understanding is that you have to be specifically admitted to the Marshall School of Business in order to be a finance major there.

are they still sending out acceptances?? or is it now just rejections???

I live in San Diego. I just received my rejection letter.

I’m so sorry. D:
That’s terrible.

so i had the “acted on” status and the backdoor links are not working for me. Living in GA. rejection? D:

Thanks. I’m getting over it now. I pretty much came to the conclusion on Saturday that I wasn’t going to get in and went through the grief process then.

Looking back, when my status changed to forwarded on 3/13, the 4th box (Events) disappeared from my admissions screen. I think at that point, I had been rejected, but had to endure 2 agonizing weeks of uncertainty. I wish USC had just told me then.

I am on spring break next week and I am visiting 3 of the 7 colleges (B-Schools) that I was admitted to.

I am still bummed, but I am focusing on going forward and getting great grades in college. A couple of the colleges are less than 50% of the cost of USC and my mom told me I could have the extra money for grad school. I did not qualify for an money at USC, so my parents were going to be paying the entire cost. I truly believe that we will all end up where we are supposed to be.

After I received the letter, I went surfing and feel much better!
I have really enjoyed all the comraderie on cc. We are a great group of kids and EVERYONE will land on their feet.

Maybe, we should all come back on May 1 and tell each other we we are going to college??

Werty,
You have a GREAT attitude and will be successful wherever you land. I have watched so many qualified students not get in to their first choice schools during the past few years (mom of hs grads years 2008 and 2010). Somehow they all end up attending what becomes their first choice schools. The universe provides! Go to school where you can still surf! Let us know where you attend, and enjoy the decision making process.

My brother is attending his 3rd choice school and LOVES it.

I’ve pretty much narrowed it to SCU, SLO or Boulder.

I know this sounds corny, (I have a GREAT mom) but she told me yesterday that maybe the girl that I am supposed to meet doesn’t go to USC and that MY plans may not be the same plans that the universe has for me. It did make me feel better AND then I went surfing. :)

You DO have a great mom.
