USC acceptance 2014

…I read through this whole thread very eager, and it felt like I was on a roller coaster ride of hope/dread… I had the problem with it saying “Forwarded” since the end of February. I was one to apply by the December deadline, but my scores for the sat and act were definitely not as high as they could have been. However, Sunday I noticed that it was “being reviewed”. I really am so nervous 'cause it is my top choice and the only that offers my major. :frowning: I really have a bad feeling…buttttt I did get accepted into UT, OU, and UCLA…so at least I still have my choices. Has anyone in Texas not received their decisions yet? Or anyone trying to major in Creative Writing or Journalism?

and Werty1992…
…I have totally been rooting for you while reading this whole thread. Way to stay positive, and I wish you the best of luck in deciding on a school:)

Werty - You have a very wise mom! The Universe DOES provide. My son is currently deciding between SCU and USC, and is also a business major. SCU offered nice scholarship package - hence the decision. If you go there, you can surf at Pleasure Point in Santa Cruz in front of Jack O’Neill’s house. :)

I live in Houston and have yet to receive anything from USC. My statuses went:

Fall grades—>forwarded 3/24—>reviewed on saturday–>acted upon sunday

Werty1992…that is so funny. My mom told me the same thing about my not getting accepted into USC. “Maybe the boy of your dreams will be at the school you attend and you would have missed the chance to meet your soulmate…” Our moms must have gone to the same “cheerleading” academy. hahaha But, geez…it did get me thinking!

Whew, ok! I most def feel a little better then…lol. I finally check my status today and it says that they have decided and it’s in the mail…I’m like 40 miles east of Waco so I’m thinking ours will prob get here like on Friday (if post office closed due to Good Friday), with the soonest possibly being tomorrow…? Who knows…but good luck!

I see on the Undergraduate Application page that it says…

“The committee has acted on your application, and we have mailed notice of the decision. If for some reason you have not received our written notification, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th.”

Has anyone seen that and been accepted, or is that the default message they show rejected applicants? Anyone know?

Edit: Also, I didn’t know I had to enter my Mid-Year grades myself on their website. I did it like two days ago 'cus that’s when I noticed it. I didn’t receive an email to do this at any point. But, I DID send my official Mid-Year grades through the mail. I thought that was enough. If they didn’t ask me to enter them myself, does that mean I’m rejected or something? :X

coolio123, mine says the same thing whenever I check the website. I really want to know what it means.

Mine says the same too…no me gusta!

rejected today.
Can you say transfer.

^^haha! oh me too!
'Cept no transfer for me…OU is actually really beautiful and offers amazing opportunities…UT has a lot going for it but Im not big on the campus and UCLA…well we will see when I fly out there:)

hey guyzzzz

does your status have to change before you get the letter?

thanks  i’m new to the forums :p
