USC Acceptance

Has anyone heard from undergraduate admissions at USC yet? I recently received a letter saying they’ve admitted 15 percent of their capacity. If so what were your stats and did you receive a scholarship?

Hey, I got accepted to USC, but didn’t get any of the big scholarships. USC informed me that I was still being considered for the Dean’s Scholarship. Most people recieved letters of acceptance around the 25th and 26th of January. Also, most people heard from the Bacc/MD program a couple of days ago.

Date applied: Late November
Date decision postmarked/received: Postmarked:1/24, Received: 1/25

Other Factors, hook?: None that I can think of…

General Comments, scholarship chances, status info, going to USC…?: I did not get Trustee or Presidential, but am currently being considered for Dean’s [emailed USC]. How I got in, I have no idea. My stats seem super duper mediocre compared to everyone else’s. I also applied to the Bacc/MD program, and got an interview! If I get a fair amount of financial aid, the dean’s scholarship, and a lot of outside scholarships, and USC is at least remotely affordable, I plan on attending.

The only people who would have heard this early were those who are Trustee/Dean scholarship winners/nominees because they have to have a special interview in February/March.

and Trustee/Dean scholarship winners have the HIGHEST stats.

Hi there, I was admitted to USC in late January and I’m being considered for the Presidential Scholarship. I think my stats are a fairly good average; friends of mine who applied with similar (if not better) information have not been admitted yet. Oh, and I submitted my application during Winter Break, which means somewhere around late late December.

SAT’s: Total 2170, CR 730. W 750, M 690.
SAT Subjects: 680 Lit, 700 US History.
I’m ranked 4 out of a class of 699 at a large public high school.
I took 7 AP classes, and have taken tests so far for 3 of them, in which I received a 5 and two 4’s.
GPA is about 4.2 weighted, 4.0 unweighted.

I liked my essays, but I enjoy English.

My recs were written by my English teacher of 3 years, my lovely counselor, and my US History teacher.

Other than that, I’m technically Hispanic which might have helped, and I think I had a lovely application. Oh, and I also wrote about my uncle attending USC.

And as far as attending USC, I’m not sure, because I applied to many many many schools.

I’m hoping this somewhat helped.
