USC Alumni Nominated for Academy Awards

<p>Paul Debevec of the Computer Science Dept. in Viterbi has won a technical Academy Award for 2010. It was announced the end of February. Professor Debevec received his award for "Scientific & Engineering for Light Stage Capture Device ". His unique effects were featured in Avatar.</p>

<p>Five School of Cinematic Arts alumni are among the nominees for the 82nd Academy Awards. </p>
