I’m of to Cal Poly SLO. The business school is awesome and I can still surf. I did send in an appeal to USC though.

Looking at this thread, I find many kids from California (in fact, most kids here are from CA it looks like). maybe that had something to do with it. USC probably doesn’t want to have an overload of CA students coming in (even though you guys seem better academically and in ECs than anywhere else). Alot of you did got accepted to wonderful schools which makes me strongly believe that it was because you were from CA.

my essays were really well written, and my school has a very good relationship with SC, so idk. good luck to the schools that all of you are going to.

i think applying to the film school makes a difference too since grades and test scores arent important factors

My boards were very average, so I wasn’t too surprised.
I’m headed to Bloomsburg U in the fall and planning to transfer in a year or two.
I have a full ride there, so I’m saving almost $100,000 by staying here for a few years.
I’m excited!!

USC was my first choice but I was rejected. Anyways, going to Chapman + great financial aid package.

To ccnewuser and xcollegeboundx sorry to say but this happens… i have heard kids getting into cornell, tufts and other great schools because their parents donate $$$$$ it’s not only for usc. ultimately the endowment can improve the school in terms or facility or ranking so its understandable.

USC was my dream school but I’m going to SMU and couldn’t be happier!

How do you know that the parents gave money to USC? Why would they tell you that? Unless they were alumni why would they give money on speculation. I think its just sour grapes that your kid didn’t get in and its not nice to trash the students and parents who did get in by implying it was because they gave money. Besides it pretty absurd to think that – unless they gave a TON of money why would they do that? They get millions in money with no strings.

S (werty1992) was going to Cal Poly SLO, but was recently admitted from the WL at UCSB. Now he s a Gaucho. BUT, he is thinking of USC for an MBA.

Rejected from USC but now I’m off to Berkeley!!

whew! berkeley is better! i’m going there : ]

just got accepted to USC through the appeals process, but i think im set on going to Berkeley.

not quite sure why i was rejected
*edit: lol completely forgot to put where i was going

Very happy with UChicago acceptance and did not appeal the USC rejection.

I got accepted but I might go to UCSD because I didn’t apply early enough to receive any scholarships =/

i just got in to usc fall through an appeal but still waitting for the fincial aid package if not going to berkeley

You guys all seem like you’re all going to amazing schools anyways…

Out of my 10 schools, USC was the only one that shot me down. And was actually in my top 3 choices.
