*******USC Class of 2020 Results/Discussion Thread**********

@dzdjdjango Keep in mind that at NYU, the ED acceptance rate is NOT higher than the regular decision acceptance rate. So don’t be discouraged based your D not having applied ED.

It’s so frustrating that there is no way to “sticky” important info on this thread, because the same misconceptions keep coming up again and again, causing a lot of unnecessary angst. As @bananafofanna said, this is not a trackable package, @dzdjdjango . In addition, you may not receive it till tomorrow because you’re on the East Coast.

i know it’s too late to worry about this but did anyone else’s financial aid document library update? mine gives me the option to submit “Federal Direct Stafford Loan Request Form” “Package Adjustment - Convert Federal Work Study to Loan Eligibility” “Outside Agency Scholarship Notification” “Appeal Concerning Increase in Estimated Cost of Attendance” etc… this may not mean anything but i don’t believe I saw those options beforehand. just looking for something to talk about to pass the wait time (i should receive my decision today or the portal will let me know tomorrow)

To be fair though, we’ve burned through 100 pages of this thread in a few days hahaha

@starsatdawn nah, most of those were there before and some people hadn’t realized. don’t worry about it

Hey guys! So is it reasonable to even think if any Virginia applicants got the package yet?

North Georgia here and my mail came by with nothing, even though I’n in the 2-day zone. I’m trying not to be concerned, as it came REALLY early and because I live in an extremely small country town. Fingers crossed for the portal tomorrow

See this is why I think the whole sending a package first thing is cruel. Sure it’s great for those that get it the very first day, but those that don’t, or those that have to wait 2 or 3 days? It’s just stressful and adds the worry that they didn’t get in without being able to know for sure until a later date. So annoying.

Also, I live in an apartment building in NYC where USPS comes different times every day so I have no idea of knowing when they’re coming!

@sandmankraju I live in Richmond but my mail doesn’t get here til the evening… I am hoping there will be something today.

[International From Asia]

I’m currently attending an international school in East Asia; someone from my school got acceptance a couple of hours ago… Are they only releasing engineering school results first? How does it work?

Have any Thornton majors been accepted, or do those all come later?

Do you know if Houston would be today or tomorrow?

My D was accepted and is very relieved as USC is the first acceptance where she really wants to go. We live in So Cal. She was waitlisted at Barnard. Still waiting on Georgetown and American. So how do I find out about financial aid at USC. She can’t go unless we get good fin aid. I see posts about in message history and such but can’t find a post to tell me where to look. I logged into FAST and it is not responding.

White box just arrived in Arlington, VA (DC Metro)!!!

@bananafofanna You got a point waiting for a package is tough especially not living close to LA - my dad thinks it’s also crazy kept me from sleeping or eating all week but when mine finally came yesterday it was fantastic I was so excited didn’t even remember until this morning to check on my UCB status page (btw waitlist haha) all other schools don’t matter anymore once you have made up your mind and can move forward. Good luck to everyone still waiting to find out either through the mail or by portal Saturday

I was waitlisted to UCB too! Hopefully I’ll get into USC also, should find out today and I’m soo nervous. @SC5ive

Should Texas have them today?

@98Wanderlust congrats!! Is your scholarship info letter from january on the portal in current messages or message history?

Hi everyone - I am relatively freaking out and need some realistic and, hopefully, calming advice. I live in Upstate New York and my mail came at 10 a.m. this morning — nothing from USC in it. Should I be worried?
