@stlstokes I’m dying to know about that!!!
For those accepted, when will we hear back about merit scholarships? (besides the top 4 ones)
Rejected and I had the sum it documents tab on my app
Rejected…
33 ACT, 3.91 UW GPA, 8 AP’s
Eagle Scout, Baseball (4yrs), Rec/Int Basektball (4yrs), DECA, NHS
I’m baffled
Anybody know about the Trojan Transfer Plan? I don’t really get it. Anyone can get it right?
It still hasn’t really hit me that I’ve been rejected.
I still didn’t get my decision online…
@filmdreamer23 AFAIK, you need to have it mentioned in your rejection letter to be considered for it, but the TTP basically guarantees you a transfer given that you do well for your first year of non-USC college.
@beedigger From what I’ve read will be any time within the next two weeks via mail.
It seems like USC Viterbi was insanely selective, regents+eecs at berkeley didn’t get in…lol
@filmdreamer23 , I created a new thread about the Trojan Transfer Plan here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-southern-california/1874398-trojan-transfer-plan-for-the-class-of-2020.html#latest
Note that you also have the chance to study abroad with other future USC students.
I GOT IN I GOT IN I CANT BELIEVE IT IM CRYING SO HARD
is there a reason some portals have still not been updated?
got my rejection letter yesterday with the Trojan transfer plan or whatever but I’m not too upset about it lol
Hey guys from socal here I didn’t get anything in the mail so assumed I didn’t get in but turns out I got accepted for fall 2016!
@filmdreamer23 and others…Here is the summary again on TTP cause it has been asked a few more times.
For those who got TTP in their rejection letter - it is not offered to everyone. You are “rejected” this year but encouraged to apply next year as a transfer. Supposedly, you have a good chance of being accepted then if you have a good gpa, take the right classes. You can attend a CC, a state school or any 4 year university for your first year. They have more articulation agreements available from CC and state schools, but it is completely acceptable to come from a 4 year. Obviously you may attend your 4 year and decide you want to stay, and say heck with the TTP. If you decide to go for the TTP, you then apply as a transfer applicant before February 1st during freshman year (back to the common app again, weeeee). The difference - you are given the opportunity to meet with a USC advisor in June or July BEFORE freshman year to make sure you understand what is best for you to take during that first year at your other college - what looks best to increase your transfer chances. They do not go over specific courses at your college, but just an idea what fits into their GEs, and what is good to get over with and bring to USC. They do not offer this consult to “regular” transfer applicants. It may be a way for them to meet you as well, but it is more to go over stuff with you. Apparently, if you meet a 3.8 gpa first year and get the credits you need (30 I think), you are almost guaranteed a spot. Note almost. It means you may have a little edge over those applying as a transfer without TTP. But nothing is ever guaranteed in college admissions till you get your packet!
@CCMTThreeTimes created a thread with more info and to discuss TTP:
TTP - Please go to the link above for discussion on TTP cause it will get lost in this one…
Either Viterbi was ultra selective this year, or USC has tufts syndrome… wayyyy too many high stats kids getting rejected this year
@majesticmarmarr congrats–you are a true inspiration!!
It says on Spring Admit acceptance there is a FB group for them through the portal, has anyone been able to access it yet? I can’t seem to find it…
Does anyone know when we find out about scholarships??
