Accepted to the WBB. Anyone else?
@vossari did you hear by portal or by mail?
It seems Viterbi was pretty selective. Anyone on here actually get into Viterbi? I’m curious to see what they were looking for
Anyone else still not know? My portal has the #IGotintoUSC and has the “Intent to Enroll” and all of the other sidebar options which indicate acceptance. However, when I click Admissions decision, nothing is in my messages. I’m so confused and it’s already 3:05 pm. Is it just me
@inazha I still dont know either…nothing has changed on my portal
I got into viterbi for comp science and engineering
daughter got into Viterbi. Chem. Engineering

The big merit scholarships were awarded earlier and released in late January/early Feb with acceptance package for those that received it. Smaller merit scholarships will be awarded but primary focus going forward is financial aid, the “big” merit is done. There will be some Deans 1/4 tuition which is about $12k, but majority are small couple thousand types. It can be awhile for USC to get the financial aid out (not merit money, but need based aid), someone else posted they said within 2 weeks for that.
@cali14379 portal, heard decisions were out and went to check!
@CADREAMIN thank you!
Everyone should probably be able to check their decisions through the portal by now. I got mine earlier today though it says that the decision was posted on the 23rd of March. Good luck!
My son got into Marshall; fall 2016. He found out on the you.usc.edu portal earlier this morning; then he got his whiite box delivered to our post office a few hours later. We live in Central California, so the USPS delivery took 3 days. His sister is a freshman at USC, and she got her delivery in 2 days last year. Once he entered his email and password on the USC portal, the “#IGotIntoUSC” icon popped up immediately in the upper right hand corner. He then clicked on “Admission Decision.” That took him to Current Messages, where there was another link called “Application Decision Notification.” When he clicked on that, an Adobe document icon appeared in the lower left hand corner of the page (you have to look for it). Clicking on the Adobe icon opened up his admission letter dated March 23, 2016.
Here are his key stats:
3.74 UW GPA; 4.36 W; top 15% of very competitive public high school
10 AP classes; 6 Honors classes, so pretty demanding coursework
32 ACT
Very good EC’s – helped start a charity, worked at a local hotel, played 3 years of baseball; public speaking
Lots of entrepreneurial experience – started two different small businesses in high school
Excellent recommendations from counselor and teachers who knew him very well
Very good essays that he worked hard on and were specific to his keen interest in Marshall
He only applied to 6 colleges, all in California, and USC is his top choice, so he’s very happy. Good luck to everyone; from what I’ve read, you are all very amazing people who will do well wherever you go.
@Stilly78 did he apply for the WBB program?
I heard that they’re sending out boxes to the admitted students! Is that true for international applicants as well?
I GOT IN I GOT IN I GOT IN
How is USC with financial aid, though? I have a full ride to my state flagship and was going to go there, but now that I’ve gotten into USC I’m wavering. My parents make 130k/yr so the other private schools I applied to didn’t give us nearly enough
Rejected for computer science:
GPA: 4.0/4.36
SAT: (non super score and super score) 2280
ACT: 35
Plenty of long term EC’s and sports, essays probably 7/10.
GOT IN FOR SPRING 2017!!! I’m so shocked!!!
ACCEPTED. i cried so hard hahaha.
2000 SAT 4.3 GPA
varsity cheer, dance, mathletes, random acts of kindness club
i work 25 hrs/week
IM SO HAPPY
There is still no decision on my portal and I haven’t received anything in the mail. My portal has #IGotIntoUSC and a place for me to place an enrollment deposit but I don’t want to get my hopes up. Do you think there’s still a chance my decision will be posted tonight? This is so frustrating:(
