Has anyone received a financial aid package yet? Someone on another site said they did so I’m wondering if anyone else has. If so, when did you submit your financial aid info?
I haven’t gotten any info regarding financial aid…does it come via snail mail or on a portal/email ???

I’m not mad because I got accepted to UCB (Letters and Science), UCI (Computer Engineering), and UCSB (only got my alternate major here- Mathematical Sciences). I’m most likely going to be attending UC Berkeley in the fall.
The university has a tag #IGotIntoUSC for those of you who were admitted and wish to see comments from other students. There are also a few videos posted.
I was accepted on Friday by mail! I’m a Washingtonian and a Legacy.
Does anyone know when the NMF Presidential Scholar recipients will be officially notified about having received the scholarship?
Hey guys do you guys think that USC might reject students that they know probably wouldn’t go to their schools? Because some of the people that go rejected from USC at might school were like super qualified students that got into like Stanford and Harvard and Berkeley and schools like those and I just felt like that was odd.
@valedictoriangod I think so. USC probably wants to protect their yield. I think I’ve seen at least 1 person on CC w/ superstats who got denied.
I didn’t want to start a new thread so i’m asking here: do intl students get to move in early for the orientation? or do we have to wait until move-in day Aug 17?
@valedictoriangod Of course, there are a many students with high stats 33-35 ACT, 2300 SAT, 4.5gpa types that are rejected from USC, no school can take them all. Is it cause of yield, I don’t think exclusively, it is more likely to make room for all their URM, first gen, international, low income, and all kinds of geographic diversity. It is a tough school to get into, but their holistic approach let’s them take way more than kids with the best grades and stats, to meet other marks they think are important. And likely the kids with the very best stats would in fact go elsewhere to be at a school that is actually full of students with the best stats, so ya, maybe yield has something to do with it.
Int’l attend the last orientation session so they don’t make two trips.
I can’t answer if they do or don’t but what I can say is that applying to colleges, even with top grades and scores, is still as they say, a crap shoot. Getting into one school even if ranked similar or even higher is no guarantee getting into another.
Schools look at addmiting students with a variety of talents and interest so they can create a diverse class. If that wasn’t the case, then every student with perfect stats would get into every school they applied to and that is rarely the case.
I suggest students readjust their thinking and understand that even with competitive scores there are no guarantees. Fortunately most end up at the right school in the long run.
i know intl orientation is two days before the actual move in day; i was curious as to whether we get to move in early for that
Washingtonian - are you coming to the admitted student event for USC students the first Thursday in April in Arlington?
Can incoming freshmen do the Viterbi study abroad program?
Admitted. 31 ACT 4.2 GPA for Marshall Business.
