Does USC share results with high school counselors on which of their students were accepted in EA? Or, can the high school counselors request them from USC?
Our high school counselor did get a list of who was accepted from USC (around 2/10+). Your experience may differ.
A list of names or just how many were accepted?
I’m curious as to why you are asking
They have their own process/window and timing depends on the sport. They can get the formal/standard USC acceptance package at the same time as others, but often have results well ahead of that through a letter with scholarship offer.
What’s WBB?
Yeah, my kid who was admitted in 2010 was able to apply as an incoming freshman, as was my kid admitted in 2012. But, last year, we discovered the SCion scholarship was only open to current students. I’m not sure when or why it changed.
It’s the World Bachelor in Business program at the Marshall School of Business. Around 45 kids get chosen each year to study in Italy and Hon Kong.
Congrats. I got in also.
Mine too!
Names, at least at our private school. I was surprised.
S24 received a white package in the mail today. Looks like they’re sending them out again similar to pre-COVID.
I don’t know if he’ll look at any other school now; he’s smitten with USC.
That’s great to hear! Glad they are sending out the admissions packets.
Did it have info on the scholarships and housing?
Edit: He didn’t by any chance get in to Marshall, did he? They always send out swag that the other departments don’t.
He’s at his GF’s house so he doesn’t know and hasn’t opened it yet. Feels light so I’m assuming just paper and no swag.
He was accepted in Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
This is the packet from USC Admissions, the swag packets (for those that send them) are in addition and separate.
Just curious. Our school claims that they don’t know who gets into what college unless we tell them, but I don’t know how true this is.
Interesting…I thought decision results were supposed to be confidential. Thanks for letting me know.
That is how our school is. I thought all were that way!
Even our school doesn’t know how many students got in UCs and who got in even stanford or any ivys unless they don’t tell to counselors. I think the school doesn’t care except some teachers or staffs.
Housing application question for students accepted EA:
It appears you can list your top five preferences on the application. Is that five different buildings or five different room types (in which case you’d potentially only list one building)?
Thanks!
