Please move on from the true/false…at any school.
Anyone know what time decisions are supposed to come out tomorrow?
Not tomorrow…Friday, usually 3pm PST.
sometimes 4pm, but usually 3.
Yes, Friday! Thank you.
@CADREAMIN, as the USC admission release date approaches, I’m beginning to feel anxious for my GS. He received an audition call back and was unable to schedule an in-person audition slot. So, he needed to do his call-back audition via Zoom. While I’ve seen statements from USC (and many other schools) that students auditioning via Zoom are not at a disadvantage, I haven’t been able to locate any published data about the success rates for those applicants who audition in person versus those who audition via Zoom. My gut is telling me that it is more challenging to establish a real connection with the adjudicators through a computer screen than it is in person. Do you happen to have any sense about the relative success rates - or can you point me to a data source?
Thanks for anything that you may be able and willing to offer!
there any portal astrology for USC?
Just a question, in the financial aid email, they referred to a USCid which is different from the one on the applicant portal. Thats the same ID on the FAST portal, everyone has this 10 digit number?
USC doesn’t waitlist. You are admitted for fall, spring, or rejected.
Did anyone receive email today from USC that USC will release the decision tommorow?
I did not - ugh
No, but got an email mid night requesting signed 1040 tax form, even though we have uploaded weeks ago and it shows received on the portal.
Mine too, but I had not signed it last time.
I hoping its a positive sign, with the previous rejections.
Nope, as per usual. I can only laugh how off USC’s radar we are.
was it an automated email with general wording
was that sent out??
Somebody said that they received the admission decision date info email yesterday.
Here’s the email:
WHY WE’RE WRITING YOU:
We received your tax return information but are unable to use it. The tax return was not signed.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
Please submit a copy of both pages of the 2022 federal tax return (Form 1040) that is signed and dated by at least one tax filer. The form must be signed and dated at the bottom of the second page, in the section marked as ‘SIGN HERE’.
Visit financialaid.usc.edu/contactfao for detailed document submission instructions.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:
Please be aware that per federal verification policies, the following are NOT acceptable substitutes for a signature on a federal tax return:
Signed copies of Form 8879, the IRS e-file Signature Authorization; or
Form 8453, the U.S. Individual Income Tax Transmittal for an IRS e-file return; or
State Tax Return documents.
E-filers can obtain hard copies of tax returns from their tax preparer or print them from their tax preparation software if they file at home.
To monitor your financial aid status, log in to your Financial Aid Summary and Tasks (FAST) page at financialaid.usc.edu.
Might have been a counselor who received it?
yeah I don’t think these things mean anything since i’ve read that many get these generic emails and get mixed admissions decisions
Sorry, I’m not very good at crystal ball gazing. All I really know is that decisions are to be released sometime tomorrow and that I am hoping for good results for everyone!
Hang in there, only one more day to wait!!!
