USC Class of 2028 — Regular & Early Action Decisions

So has anyone not seen this in their source code? Seems like everyone has it so probably doesn’t indicate anything

ok yep i have it. does anyone know what it does?

i’m trying to look for a code that might indicate confetti…will be a loop of some kind

Has anyone else had a sudden realization about how ridiculous we are being?

It’s definitely the code for the animation you get when it’s an acceptance letter. The question is wether or not that code is on everyone’s portal or just those who have been accepted.

Nah; waiting is hard and this is fun  (and honestly I thought that was an interesting one and was terrified to check!)

If that’s the case, would this part be a bad sign? 0% red and 100% white – meaning it wouldn’t be blinking different colors? Granted I know nothing about coding, but anyone have different percentages?

Yes I thought the same thing but it looks like everyone has the same percentage. Most likely this code is the pre cursor to the letter where some will have the red pop up when they’re accepted and others it will stay white and won’t come up as they aren’t accepted

So that is just the styling. Typically you put all styling in the page and then you use JavaScript/HTML to set what is actually displayed. So it would make the most sense that everyone has the styling and then if you get in, they will use code to make it appear.

Keep at it guys. I heard they reserve 1 CS slot for whomever is first to successfully decode the portal before decisions are released!

Slot for the kid or the parent?

As a parent of two USC students, I want to express my sincere wishes for success to all of you. Today is a monumental moment in their lives, one that they will forever hold dear. Having experienced 1 acceptance and 1 rejection (eventually transferring), I understand the varied paths our children may take. Let’s not fool ourselves into thinking that this marks the end. On the contrary, it signals the beginning of new challenges. Even upon securing admission to their dream school, obstacles will inevitably arise. Nevertheless, I have complete faith in the resilience and abilities of our students to overcome these hurdles and emerge even stronger.

Anyone know if USC is discontinuing the Trojan Transfer Plan? I’m a double legacy applicant and heard the TTP gets offered to a lot of, but not all, legacies. Heard rumblings that they’re being discontinued although not sure how true that is.

That rumor that TTP is no more has been going on every year for last many years. USC calls it something else as of a year or so ago - more an invite to transfer - but regardless it is still the same Trojan Transfer Plan. My guess is they had to make it “appear more equitable” in this day and age.

When results come out today if someone sees this “sorry you aren’t in, but we encourage you to apply” as a sophomore transfer, if you could paste the text here it is always handy to have. I think I have last years, will paste here if I find it…not everyone gets this “invitation” aka Trojan Transfer Plan. Legacies, yes, but also others on the border where they simply ran out of room.
