No they are planning on sticking to the May 1st currently
This is true because TTP isn’t a thing. They wanted to open it up to everyone to officially expose the fact its not real. it was just a name the media created when that same transfer info is literally online.
I was accepted CMU CS as well but rejected USC. Accepted GT though today. Congratulations to all those admitted !
Thank you!
I should add things always work out as they should. This was not my daughters dream school, but it was for her three best friends. They were deferred EA but all accepted today. This further ensures we should trust in this process.
More proof that college decisions make no sense. Congrats on CMU and GT!

He was deferred in EA, so we weren’t expecting much. Super excited and happy!
Did anyone get admitted to WBB today? If so, would you be willing to share your stats? Thanks!
We got in with EA, as of today, no financial aid summary received. I kept calling their FA office, told me the FAFSA delays, I have to wait. Sigh.
S24 accepted to Viterbi School of Engineering! He is happy but looks like UCLA already captured his heart last week. If anyone has any insight to offer comparing the two programs that would be much appreciated. He is doing aerospace/ astronautical engineering.
Are you sure? Did you check the FAS? My son got in as EA and we received the FA estimate like two weeks after.
How do you even have 5.21 weight GPA out of 5.0?
krckrc’s school adds extra extra points for the classes. I saw his explanation on another thread.
DD24 is rejected by USC too. we already have a better choice for engineering school, top of her class of 700, top high school in Illinois.
As disappointing as today’s news is (and believe me, my kid would give anyone associated with SC the middle finger right now if she met one), I do respect the fact they gave us a quick answer today, after the deferral in December. Much better to hear no immediately than the SLO method of letting you twist in the wind for two weeks before they bother to let you know. Good luck, future Trojans. Won’t be cheering for you in any sport but hope you all do well in school and life.
My suggestion is to attend Explore USC on April 7 and UCLA’s Bruin Day on April 13.
If cost is a concern, as a NMF, your son will receive a half tuition scholarship at USC. That is still more than UCLA’s tuition.
Viterbi has a progressive degree program that I don’t believe UCLA has.
Regarding APs (you asked about them in the UCLA thread), USC is generous with AP credit. I would caution you to only submit test scores for courses that you are sure you want to get out of. Otherwise you’ll end up with extra undergrad units that could become a problem with the Presidential scholarship if he does a PDP.
Excellent information ! We are also debating between USC and UCLA. I did not know about progressive degree program.
