<p>So I got the final status message a few hours ago (the committee has acted…) but I’m too scared to check the deposit page…not because I care about it being monitored but I’m scared about what it will say…</p>
<p>miru123- Yeah, it doesn’t work 100% of the time I don’t think. It takes a while to update the deposit page, fin aid info etc., etc.,</p>

<p>I heard some people say that they are monitoring anyone who enters the deposit page with out receiving an acceptance yet, is the true? I know alot of people did it last year.</p>
<p>Got an update from a friend that is also applying for Comm at Annenberg. Their status switched to “Your application is being reviewed…” on 5/23/08 at 2:04pm, two minutes after mine did. My last name begins with a T, my friend’s last name begins with a Y… if that matters to anyone? I don’t think it makes a difference.</p>

<p>Well, I’ve been checking my status every five minutes and it still hasn’t changed. Discouraging. Also, I was lax on adhering to the FA deadlines and missed turning some stuff in by a few days. I still have not received any info on my EFC, etc… Is anyone else’s FA like this?</p>

<p>Speaking of Financial Aid. For those of us that will be finding out at the end of this week, ON June 2nd, etc…</p>
<p>It seems like your Financial Aid package doesn’t show up until a few days after you receive the big, red envelope. Financial Aid plays a big role in my decision – it’s my first choice but if I have to take out tens of thousands in loans, then I can’t go to USC. Will there be enough time for FA to come through before the commitment deposit deadline?</p>
<p>DJS3CA - When my status changes, I’ll be sooooo tempted. Then again, I feel like the decision itself is so precarious, so precious, so long-awaited… that if I so much as breathe too hard, I might jinx it. hah.</p>
<p>I know some of the freshman got decisions in the mail before it said ‘acted upon’, so I don’t know if that’s 100% sure for transfers.</p>
<p>Either way, my thing hasn’t reached acted on and it’s been in stage 3 since 5/21. Apparently people went from stage 3 on 5/23 to acted on. I don’t know why mine hasn’t changed yet. Even if it is a rejection, wouldn’t they have acted on that decision? Ugh.</p>
<p>I think I’ll be tempted to check. Though if it does not work it’ll be quite discouraging and the wait for the actual letter in the mail will be even worse.</p>
<p>usc24 - thanks! I have a 4.0 with 36 units so I would be a sophomore next yr… I also completed all the pre-reqs and the accounting courses but I still have like 4 more GE’s to do…</p>
<p>I’m not gonna lie, im pretty tempted to check the committment deposit site but after waiting this long, I think ill just wait a few more days to find out by mail…</p>
