USC Fall 08 transfers

Snarekick! They do not need official! Unofficial is perfectly fine. Turn it in ASAP. Does it have grades, units, and course title?

DJS3CA- Great, another thing i have to worry about if I get accepted lol. Can you post the link for the schedule courses for fall 2008?

This is the marshall link: [BUAD | USC Schedule of Classes](302 Found)
This is the general one. Search your major or professional school:[Fall 2008 | Schedule of Classes](302 Found)

thank you!! Wow, what a difference between my community college and a 4 yr. University (I know duh but still it’s overwhelming). So many classes that are offered from Marshall.

in looking at the catalogue, i know it would be like an extra year to get the credits done, but BA theatre track has a TON of classes/sections open. french has like…5.
AWESOME.

ksbr27- Are you going to take any theatre classes if you get into your first major? The reason why I’m asking is because I plan on minoring in theatre, so maybe we might have some classes together. (Well, first we need to get accepted lol)

Yeah, the unofficial one is exactly the same as the official transcript, just not sealed in an envelope. Okay, so as soon as all my grades come in, I’ll run a copy over to admissions.

I’m so ready to be a Trojan – let me in, USC!!

WOW I’m still on the June 1st update I’m going totally nuts.

Then again, I submitted my application literally in the half hour it was due at the end of January. I don’t know if that has anything to do with it though :X

Life is dark and dismal without updates lol

usc24-hopefully if i get accepted i will be an MT minor, so a YES on that. i was a vocal music major before and all of my performance/theory credits transfer and fit into the MT curriculum at Thornton, so i would only need three more classes and voice lessons and i’ll be done. assuming i get in, of course.

At this point I just want to get in!!! for anything!!!

if i want to go to marshall or econ, is it okay to take Accounting online and an anthropology GE class online?

Captainbhangra- if you do take ANY classes online, make sure USC wont see them until they are on your official transcripts. to quote admissions directly “I wouldn’t take any classes online if you are planning to apply to this university”.

It really doesnt matter however, if they are from past semesters though. most cc’s (mine is one) DO NOT indicate which classes are online and which arent. so, once final grades are posted, admissions will never know. this is important to know if you receive an SGR. (like me :(.)

i also thought that transcripts didnt indicate whether the class was online or not, but the way usc stated it…
so if i am taking the classes this summer, but applying this coming season, i should be okay, and USC wont see that the class was online?

edit: i checked my unofficial transcript online and at the end of the section number it says Z (means online). As in english writing is EWRT 1A-60, mine shows EWRT 1A-60Z…
:frowning: ??

I wouldn’t worry, if you are applying for fall 2009, they wont see what format your previous summer school classes were.
Very smart of you to figure this stuff out in advance. Props.

haha thanks…
so your saying they wont know what a Z means??

thanks for the help also… appreciate it

They will probably figure out what it means when they go and try to transfer over courses for credit but courses taken over a year ago they probably won’t care. Or, they will accept it as elective credit and you will still have to re-take writ140 when you get in (like it won’t cancel out the freshmen requirement)…

Basically, I think if it was taken over a year ago (by the time you apply) they won’t weigh into their decision as much as a class that you recently took. I wouldn’t worry about it but also wouldn’t take many more of them online…

laguna did you get an SGR? honestly i’m kind of mixing everyone up. the joys of studying and being on CC at the same time.

Haha, don’t kid yourself. They will know it’s an online course.

:(
will online courses present a problem?

Ya…they will definitely know that it was an online course…I thought the poster was worried if they would care or not that it was online…sorry about that!
