USC Fall 08 transfers

My D just had her financial aid (big red letters) date on OASIS updated from May 14th to June 26th. But her application status is still on “The application has been forwarded to committee for review”. Would they review her financial aid again if she were NOT accecpted? Why the update in red letters?

been on : We are unable to process the status of your application at this time. Please try again later, or Contact Us with any questions or concerns you might have. for almost 2 weeks : /
hopefully there be more updates this coming week

Will this coming week be the week?

DJS3CA- I hope so. Did the message on your financial aid change? I know you were concerned about that…

It still shows nothing, I still have hope though.

I decided that I will not apply for a winter quarter, but I will take more classes and apply again next year, along with many other schools.

I hope so. At any rate, the longest you’ll be waiting for is two weeks. All the best. :)

My status said that they had mailed their decision on June 27. If I can’t log into the commitment deposit page right now, does that mean I’m not accepted? Or should I wait until the weekend’s over? Has anyone been able to check the deposit page before they’ve gotten an official letter?

The day my status changed to “acted” and said the commitee had mailed a notice I could log onto my commitment page the next day. I didn’t try logging on the first day because I was scared. So I guess you could wait till monday to see. You will most likely get your decision in the mail tomorrow afternoon. good luck albl89!

This better be my week, it has to.

Amen to that…

Tones, I think that’s the message i got when they wanted me to submit my spring grades. did you do that?

Calcruzer- sorry to hear that about your son! Hopefully he gets the most out of indiana…

yes I did
I turned in grade cards two weeks ago and sent out official transcripts last week as well, but it still has been on that message

Tones- did you call them and check this out?

what did they say?

I guess it should’ve been changed if they received them all.

kinda wierd… You better make sure they got them all…

Dennislim- yea, i turned in by hand the grade cards and they gave me a receipt
saying when they received it. I called last week too and they said it takes a week and a half to two weeks for them to process it but i think i’m going to call them right now to check

Never expected my USC decision to take this long. The first seven months of this year seemed to have gone entirely in slow motion. it’s been a true test of patience for me. Still waiting, and still optimistic…

I hope they start working on our apps this week. I’m going mad. Looking through the schedule to register for CC classes is even more depressing.

My friend from school just got in to the Marshall program today. He is a Junior transfer with a 3.8+ GPA.

I can’t believe tomorrow is the beginning of July and I still don’t know the decision from USC. I hate this waiting process and I want it to be over!!!

iamuscworthy - do you know what your firend’s status was ?

My status keeps saying the same words since mid june… never changed.

I have a question for you guys…

some of them who got admission from marshall absolutely had a good gpa and good ec and essay too.

but if i got a c in my eng class which is one of marshall’s pre-req, my chance to get in becomes a lot slimmer than the other applicants who got b or better in ENG class despite good gpa?

DennisLim - His status page changed on Thursday with “Forwarded to Commitee” then Friday it said “Decision has been made” He got his packet today in the mail.

The “C” grade may hurt you because English is a pre-req and they want to see you do well especially in the pre-req classes. Doesn’t mean that your totally out of the ball game, it just means that your chances are less because of it.

just to be clear…if i sent in my application with less than 30 units at that time, but went on and accumulated more than 30 during the spring, did they look at my high school grades???

wintercandyapple- Most likely.
