Nothing for anybody?? I am thinking status update on Wednesday.

nothing today, but the counselor i talked to did mention that by wednesday
there should be an update

Another day, no update… I hope you guys are right about Wednesday!

Spring grades sent in two weeks ago, still no status update :(

Still no update since 4/21!

I think USC is just trying to help you guys get this thread up to 10,000 posts. (This has got to be the longest thread ever).

calcruzer-it’s the second longest. the longest (as far as i know) is the UC decision transfer thread from '06-'07 that has over 9300 posts. but that covered an entire state-wide university with multiple campuses. i think for 1 school it’s definitely either the longest or at least in the top 3.

Does anyone think orientation will slowdown the process of SGR decisions or not?

I don’t see why orientation would slow down SGR decisions, unless the orientation programs are conducted by the admissions office which doesn’t seem likely.

anyone get any updates today?

No update…blah!!

My son (living here in northern California)still hasn’t gotten his letter/packet that they said they sent out last Thursday–and we already checked today’s mail.

6+ days to mail something from southern California to northern California?–No wonder they call it “snail mail”. (The Pony Express was 3 times quicker than today’s mail service–so can we go back to the 1860s, please?)

I think the USC had the packet sitting in a pile ready to be mailed since thursday, and they didn’t actually hand it over to the USPS until later. There is no way snail mail can take 6+ days from SoCal to NorCal.

The July 15th orientation has been filled and is now closed. They opened up a third session that takes place on July 25th. I hope this does not mean they can prolong decisions even further.

I just called USC about changing my second choice major and to follow up on my status and they gave me some hopeful feedback. I first asked her about changing my second choice major and she said “You can e-mail that request in.” Then I asked about my status for my first choice major and she said, “well I can’t give you too much information.” Jokingly I said “Just tell me that I’m accepted and I’ll be on my way.” She laughed and then said “You should just wait it out a bit longer because Marshall looks positive.” I hope that means what I think it means… #@$% I can’t take this anxiety any longer!!!

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone has had a status change today saying “We are unable to provide status information at this time. If you have any questions please call.”… Mine just changed today to that and I was wondering if this is happening to anyone else…

iamuscworthy-- Did you get an SGR? Because typically that has been the status for an SGR?

Iamuscworth -

My status is still “We have your spring grades requested by commitee…”

I think that every applicant who does not get rejection yet should

have a hope if what iamuscworthy heard from USC is true.

Rofl they finally got my spring grades now the wait…

Hippo, I got the same message when I got my SGR a month and a half ago. The last time I saw anyone with this message was back in the SGR days. This thing is weirding me out!

Jychoi, I hope you are right. My status had not changed since June 13th (Friday the 13th that is), and up until today I had practically lost a lot of hope. I haven’t seen an update for this long so I don’t even mind seeing this message. I just hope it’s good news because USC didn’t do this to anyone in June as far as I know from this thread. At any rate… I’m gonna call tomorrow and keep you guys updated.

Please let me know if anyone else got this message…
