USC Fall 08 transfers

I go to Northeastern University. What about you guys?

The wait for a decision is kicking my butt. I hope the USC chicks are worth the wait.

cheeseburger08- I can understand why you are hesitant. Transferring in for Spring would mean graduating a semester or so later. I guess it depends on wether you really like the school that much and wether if you’re here, you plan on taking advantage of all that USC offers: both academically and socially. Either way, your wait is almost over.

So if we haven’t heard a response yet, the only way we could attend next year is if we get spring admits? Who has confirmation of that? Proof?

does anyone know if the math placement test is required if im taking calc rite now?? (i intend to take chem and physics there so…)

I just got my acceptance packet and I got in for my 2nd choice major: econ. I was accepted for bus admin at LMU but USC econ is the better choice right?

cheeseburger - I’d say finish at USC. Employers care about where the degree is from, not all the other schools you attended beforehand. And I go/went to Penn State :)

JTSO23 - Congratulations! & yes - LMU’s business program actually is not THAT great. Plus you can probably transfer into Marshall after a semester.

once I get in, i’m going to ride around campus on a baby elephant.

Economics gives you the same career choices as Business Administration. It actually gives you more choices. So if you’re in for econ but not business its no big deal really. You just won’t get as much business specific education, but the companies you will work for in the future will teach you that stuff anyway.

Nothing from USC today.

Just got my package.

It’s not red, it’s white with a gold stripe.

Good luck and hang in there for everyone still waiting

SEO-A white striped package??? Did you get in???

Yeah. I was able to log into the commitment page since yesterday. Before that my status read “we are unable…”. Before that my status read “We have received your spring grades…”

its unreal. apparently they never received the grades that i sent in. my spring grades were sent in long before the due date. this is giving me a thundering headache. the admissions guy could tell that i was infuriated and accepted a verbal grade report over the phone. he told me that i should get my results next week. i am praying that they do not screw me for their incompetence. by the way hippo, i feel the same way: total confidence and then absolutely none, almost simultaneously.

hey guys I’ve been a lurking around this thread for a while now but just haven’t really posted. I just emailed my admissions counselor and asked him about the status of my application and he said that a final decision has been made on my application already and I should be hearing shortly. Quickly after his email reply my status changed from “we have received your spring grades…” to “unable to process…”.
I hope this means I’m in…

Franklinms22-- Yep, Yep. It’s total madness.

I just want to get in. USC is the school that I’ve dreamed of since the first time I stepped on the campus 10 years ago. I am infatuated by everything USC. If I don’t get accepted chances are I’ll reapply next year. USC is the ONLY school that I wish to attend.

How do you log into OASIS? USC ID + what for the password?

Hey, do you guys think its too late or a bad idea to change my second choice major right now? I put 1st choice econ, and second business admin., but I want to change my second choice to math, as it seems it may be a better second choice that I could get admitted into over Bus. Admin… Also, it would be better than bus. admin for graduate econ programs I believe.

I have a feeling that if Annenberg accepts any students w/ a spring grade request, its for spring…not fall. Just a theory based on last year’s posts.

It’s so frustrating when you know that your friends are hearing news but you’re not!!! I just want some answers!

You should change your major to smoking blunts.

That was my last major and it didn’t get me too far. Economics seems to have better job recruitment. Have fun with that one though, lol.
