USC Fall 08 transfers

I cannot still log in the commitment doposite page even though i confirmed

that i am admitted to my second choice over the phone. You guys should call them

to know their final decision on you instead of trying to log in.

chasetrojan–I called earlier and the first person I talked to said they were finalizing my decision, then I emailed my counselor and she said a decision has been made and I will hear shortly. It sounds like our situations are similar.

Jychoi80–has your financial aid status updated through OASIS?

And people that have been admitted-- When did your financial aid status update?

Hippo50-

No update for me because i did not apply for financial aid.

I would get a loan from a bank in Korea because i am an international

student.

No information for you. Sorry.

I see. Well congratulations on your acceptance Jychoi80!

My status finally changed to “we are unable…” Now I’m just scared to death.

So is everyone on the “unable to process…” status right now?

Everything is winding down!!

My status restarted to the fall 2009 application which I understand is a bad sign. I still have hope though, even if only a fools hope.

So does the unable to process status mean they have made a decision? Or am I still in limbo? Sorry this whole thing is just so confusing.

chasetrojan-- log in through this to see your status:

https://afa.usc.edu/AFA/login.jsf

Yeah, “unable to process…” means they have most likely made a decision.

My status has changed to “we are unable to process.” I cannot login to the commitment deposit page

hippo50, I appreciate that a lot. I’ve got the same “Unable” message as the rest of you guys.

I was told that we could hear over the phone both Tomorrow or Friday by two different people today. Again I don’t know if that’s actually gonna be the case but hopefully some good news will come if you guys wanna give that a shot instead of waiting for the letter.

Can Anyone whose status changed log in to the commitment deposit page?

I cannot log into it either, but many who were accepted last week could not log in until AT LEAST the next day.

I can’t log in.

Jychoi80,

It’s funny they let you know over the phone.
I thought all admision decision are given over mail.

Congrats anyway.

You can get into any MBA even if you are not a previous business student. I have Law friends doing MBA’s now, so no worries. Unless the school is really that picky… :P

Make sure to get your I-20.
All I-20 are processed by the I-20 department, and they ONLY have email.
usci20@usc.edu

Don’t worry about getting into accounting, just make sure to read up on the student handout (SCampus) and school catalogue. It will state all the requirements for getting into accounting.

It seems they have reset some of their systems for the 09’ year.
If you been admitted, get your USC email.
Login to the school intranet, and you can see all ur profiles and info.

If you have not been admitted, PLEASE keep calling them for updates.

Nicksdad,

I need to correct your post.

Yes. You must take a math placement for marshall.
I have taken mine. It is stated in the pre-orientation homework email.

For science/comm major, you must take your chem/language placement.

I feel that business administration with an emphasis in finance is a perfect fit for me but i got into my second choice major
economics.

Do you guys think i should take advantage of USC’s economics major instead of Loyola Marymount’s business administration program?
