Usc Leventhal School Of Accountig : 0.2% Acceptance Rate

OK!!! This SCARY…

HOW COME ONLY 2…!!! ** ONLY 2 !!!** students were accepted to LEVENTHAL…

WOW!!! GUYZ… HOW COME ONLY 2 PEOPLE CAN BE ACCEPTED…

CAN ANYONE TELL HOW MANY APPLIED.

if you look at the statistics, 2 percent doesn’t equal acceptance rate. the 2 percent represents that out of the 1100 or so students who transferred in 2 percent of them went into Leventhal. Thats why at the bottom you get a percentage of 100percent, which represents all the incoming transfer students.

HOW COME ONLY 2…!!! ** ONLY 2 !!!** students were accepted to LEVENTHAL…

That means not a lot of people applied there as well.

Usc Leventhal School Of Accountig rank #4 in the nation…No one goes there?? At least I would go

Why is this so hard to understand m.kenien?

2 does not mean 2 students, nor does it mean 2 percent acceptance rate.

it means 2 percent of the approximately 1100 transfer students(who are now at USC), which is about 22 students, transferred into Leventhal…It also does not mean that 22 students were accepted from 1100 applicants. It means that 22 off 1100 transfer students are at Levanthal, 1100 being the total number of students who transferred in for all majors

liek0806 … i think its hard for u to calculate…

0.2% x 1114 = 2 not 22

where is this and why do you start two threads on this?

I think mkenien mean 0.2% not 0.2

0.2%= 0.002

i see the mistake now. but beyond that they accept more than 2, because they know transfer students will choose other schools, and their yield isn’t 100percent. I’m pretty sure they accepted at least 5-10 students out of how many ever applicants. I dont think most poeple who transfer want to go into Levanthal over marshall. Marshall gets most of the transfers because business is more popular than accounting i’m guessing.

As a transfer student you have to get into Marshall first before you can go into Leventhal I believe

Laguna…I know that we have to get into Marshall first… but why did they post that statistic for Leventhal?

Where is this statistic coming from?

Sachmoney…

http://www.usc.edu/private/factbook/2008/transfers_byschool_08.pdf

they probably have low application numbers for leventhal and even lower acceptances. oh well.

yea the acceptance rate isn’t 0.2 % at all… That’s just the number of transfers **matriculating **into Leventhal with respect to the entire transfer class. It has nothing to do with the number of kids accepted. I mean sure it’s competitive, but the number of applicants is probably low anyway. Just relax M.kenien, if you have the stats and such you will be fine.

Thanks mkenien.

I agree with Reliant K.

My friend said it’s not too hard to transfer into Leventhal after you get into Marshall. The hardest part is staying in the program because Leventhal apparently works on a Quarter-like system and you gotto take those classes while you are also taking BUAD Marshall classes on a semester system. That’s if I remember correctly from what my friend told me
