<p>hey guys, I really need help deciding between usc and auburn. i know they are INCREDIBLY different schools, but auburn offered me a full ride plus a technology grant and money to study abroad junior year. at usc, i get the national merit half scholarship, but we don’t qualify for financial aid other than that. usc has a great program for what i want to do(broadcast journalism), but i’m having a really hard time denying a free college education. if you have any advice please respond! thanks so much!</p>

<p>Though I’m sure it is tough trying to figure it out, you are very fortunate to have two GREAT choices. I personally don’t know much about Auburn- just that it is “very southern.” Beyond the money, I think one of the biggest factors for you is to figure out where you want to be after college.</p>

<p>my S thought he would be choosing between USC and Auburn. Loved both schools. Loved the southern charm (we are from NE).Unfortunately rejected from USC with option of interviewing with admissions staff to plan transfer option. He has now accepted his “near” full ride at Auburn. Whatever school you choose, when you arrive you will own that school. Great football, friendly students, great weather. Academics may not be on the same level at Auburn, but if you want, you can find opportunities to stretch yourself no matter which school you decide to attend.</p>
