USC Rowing Recruit

I am a current junior and am thinking about rowing in college. I have only been doing it for a year, but my 2k time is currently 6:50 and I have started a schedule of weightlifting and have bought an erg. Based on how fast my 2k is decreasing now, I think it is realistic to get it sub 6:30 by my senior year. Is this good enough to be recruited to college, specifically USC. I go to a top 10 public school in my state and am within the top 5 people in my graduating class with the hardest schedule among any of my peers. Also I am 6’4’’ and 175 lbs, do I need to get my weight up?

Sorry but men’s rowing at USC is a club sport, so you cannot really be recruited for it, no matter how good you are.

As for your other questions - maybe, but don’t count on it; and maybe a little, but don’t put on weight for its own sake.
