Mine says something along the lines of:
“We have received your midyear grades and currently require nothing else. Letters will start being sent out April 1st…”

O.o This doesn’t sound very positive…

I hadn’t checked my status until now, and it is “Your application has been forwarded for committee review”. What does that actually MEAN? why would they forward it for committee review after they’ve already reviewed it once (the “currently being reviewed” status)?

@ mynameisb0b: did you ever have the “forwarded” status?

What I want to know is if having the forwarded status is a good thing. I know there has been a lot of speculation on the meaning of certain statuses, but it seems there are less people with the forwarded status than other status. And in the case of acceptance, there will only be about 20%-25% of apllicants that are accepeted. And it seems that there are about 25% of people with the forwarded status. What I’m trying to say is that I think having the “forwardded” status means that you are heading in the right direction. Just a thought.

Going back the end of January when people were hearing from USC about scholarships, the “forwarded” status usually meant that someone was going to get a scholarship. At this point in time, I would think that the “forwarded” status is also a good sign. I bet it indicates something like admissions putting you into the pile of “good” applications. I hate reading into the status updates too much but my guess is you’ll get in eventually.

I really really hope we’re right

fingers crossed as well.

connecticut- D is in the same boat- she sent the grades and ACT scores, had the “sent to committee for review” post, and now has “we need your grades” again.

does anyone know how long people in the first wave of acceptances had the forwarded for committee review status?

this is so stressful! i need to stay away from CC!

last year someone put together a post with all of the “what does my status change mean?” comments. I wish I knew how to do links, because the link is “What does your status page say 2.0” If someone else knows how to do that, please feel free. After looking at it a bit, and going back to read later posts of students who received different status reports, it seems that, of those who posted asking about “referred to committee for review”, and “please send your midquarter grades”, roughly equal numbers were later accepted and rejected. So I think it just means what it says- they are looking at it.

Yeah, my status was "being reviewed’ and today it’s “forwarded”

FYI…a new wave of acceptances has begun. Check out the “ACK! What does this mean? (status update)” thread. Good luck to all of you!

mynameisbob, above, was accepted, in case other posters didn’t catch that- just to keep your spirits up.

Did USC already send all its acceptance packets?

^don’t worry ninjadavid64, no one has even received the 2nd wave letters.

Did anyone else’s status change Tuesday when the site was briefly down, as discussed in this thread? My son’s changed from “preliminary” to “forwarded.”

I noticed that last year there were acceptances received March 10/11/12. I’m hoping that and the “outage” means new wave will reach mailboxes soon.

do you think the 2nd wave of letters has been sent yet/will be sent this week?

jazz/shreddermom, my status did not change after the outage. If your son’s status changed…oooo, that could be good. I will keep my finger’s crossed for you.

my son’s status changed yesterday to forwarded… he is a theatre major…

my status changed this yesterday or today from fowarded to received and currently reviewing. what does that mean??
