I have just recieved information on the USC Topping Scholarship via e-mail. What does this say about me being accepted or denied? It still calls me a “prospective student” but does this somehow put an advantage on my application? And I thought they only extend scholarship application offers to those admitted? Can SOMEONE PLEASE OFFER ME INSIGHT CAUSE IM GOING CRAZY.

There are lots of groups and organizations in USC that offer scholarships to applicants, but the only scholarships that indicate acceptance at USC are the ones given by the Office of Admission. Also, if you received a scholarship from the Office of Admission, the notification for it comes after an acceptance letter. Scholarships from elsewhere in USC don’t necessarily guarantee you’ve been accepted, I’m afraid.

Yeah, I just received information too. I was hoping that it meant something, but I guess not.
