<p>hey you guys, I want to transfer to usc for critical studies in film and a minor in screenwriting. The thing is I live in Las Vegas, and I know that schools in California prefer people from California; what do you guys think my odds are of getting in? what percentage of people accepted to this program were from out of state?</p>
<p>Not all schools from California prefer people from California. Only the public schools (UC, CSU). USC is a private school and does not give preferential treatment to applicants based on their residency.</p>
<p>And for USC’s film school, what matters most are your portfolio and your GPA.</p>
