Heh, my apartment on the westside with none of those perks was $1350… so this wasn’t that much more honestly. And if I do end up getting a roommate it will be a lot less
For now… it’s cool. I’ve got some places for you guys to check out that are a bit cheaper, I’ll post them up when I get back tonight (currently posting this from the library at school). They’re all within a few blocks of this place… one is on Main, which isn’t the prettiest street, but it’s an awesome building (another old building converted to lofts) that just opened in April… it’s equally as impressive, and I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before that street sees gentrification… the plus being, you can get in while it’s still cheap (I think some of the places there were as low as $950!).

actually, now that i think about it, it isn’t THAT much. usc charges around 650 to share a tiny room in their crappy off campus apartments. But seriously mrpuppy, are you a drug dealer?

Exactly hobo, my friend pays $800 a month to share a 1 bedroom with another guy in USC housing… So… honestly, a 1 bedroom at metro417 would probably be cheaper in the same situation.

As for what I do… I’m even worse than a drug dealer… I’m a computer programmer…

ha that can be viewed by some as just as bad!

'SC does charge an arm and a leg for the apartments, but all schools basically do so whatever. I kind of want to be in the middle of it all for social reasons, so we’ll see.

But what are you doing in the SC library puppy?

Actually in the West Los Angeles College library… supposedly studying in a Spanish language lab (I need 16 hours total in the lab to get credit)… No hablo espanol mucho hoy.

As for wanting to be on campus… I can completely understand that. There is a lot to be said to being in the thick of it all, I just prefer to be close, but still away. This way I can get to campus in a few minutes if I want to for events, etc… but I can get away from it as well if I’m feeling stressed and just don’t want to think about school once in a while
The both have advantages… my dog… of course… also limits my on campus housing choices… hehe.

dude mrpuppy, seriously you are one lucky ■■■■. yr living the life man. good stuff.

hey mrpuppy, do you know of any condos for sale in that area, or are all of them for rent only?

mrpuppy, you said your efc was 33k or something. if you don’t mind me asking, roughly how much do you make at your symantec job for them to have given you such a high efc?

i got pwned by getting my finaid in late. my efc was 20k and i got 7k about worth of grants

There are condos available, but they’re a bit out of my price range… so I didn’t really do a whole lot of research on them. Maybe when I’m done with school I’ll go that route. As for how much I make, that’s kind of personal… but I will say that I make enough to live in LA… but not enough to live in LA and pay for USC on my own
Now to somehow convince USC of that.

just get a loan from the bank of mom and dad :)

Haha, wish I could… but my dad is disabled and unemployed (on social security) and my mom works for the State of Florida… money isn’t something they can give up easy. They try to help as much as they can, but I really can’t ask them for any money at all for school.

welcome to the loan life!

i finally got a job at a loan office. well see how this goes.

Gj sex.

anyways guys, I’m leaving for europe in 30 minutes. I wont be back until movein day. So I’ll be seeing you guys all at SC! Congratulations to EVERYONE, even if you didn’t get in. It’s been great. And its been cool meeting you guys. So keep in touch!

You can myspace me at myspace.com/radiouc or facebook me at USC.

And everyone who need to keep in touch. We are for sure hanging out.

CG05: See you at the rush events ;)

I will never get any loans.
Loan is for poor people.

I know that USC requires two semesters of English composition but what happens if you skipped the first semester of English comp?

no they just require second semester of English.
Go search the site and see what the equilvilent English course is for their requirement.

or you can just tell me which cc you go to, and i can tell you which english course you have to take.

Ah I see, you are correct. :)

I go to University of New Orleans…if you want you could take a look at this and tell me what you recommend

The courses are the same for fall.

The english course I took (and started with) was 1159. Just wondering what would be best to take next.
