usc needs minimum 3 semesters of a foreign language…but if you havent completed all 3 by the time you transfer in there you take a placement test…so im planning on taking the spanish placement test and i think i will test out of taking an foreign language classes.

the sociology class im gonna be taking is with Holzgang i believe. He or she is only teaching it at one timeslot so if you have the schudule with you you’d be able to see.

Whats your intended major? Have you began the personal statement stuff? On Thursday the Transfer Center is gonna be open all day for students that need help with their applications.

what if youve taken a foreign lang in high school? does that count? and what if you dont pass the placement test? i hate foreign languages!!

what time is that soc class?

my intended major is biochemistry… YEAH I KNOW. insane isn’t it? i’m so afraid i won’t get in because i bet theres a billion other kids out there that have this major and are smarter than me. this process really sucks. ill try and come out to the transfer center on thursday although it sucks because my uc apps are due that day.

btw do you have screen name? i think it’s just easier to chat online than go back and forth with college discussion although it has been very useful.

vonska, you say that now. i’ll give you six months.

i guarantee you will not be saying the same thing.

i know it sucks, but i’ll make sure you guys get oriented fine. it’s tough, but you’ll do it. and get into cal? bah. USC has a better name for its networking. there’s nothing better than beating the top UC school in football, too >: )

technics, if i kept up my grades at ucr for another year i wouldve most likely gotten into cal as a transfer. i had a 3.93 where cal admitted transfers have average of 3.50-3.89. check on the site for yourself.

second of all, you’re aready at 'sc. you don’t know how *ing traumatizing this wait is. my friends from irvine always come back with stories to tell and im still *ing living in my mom’s house.

as if thats not bad enough, now trojanhousing gives me this bull **** that i might not get housing. liek **** them dude. im being ****ed in every single way. im soooooo regretting it now. im soooooo mad at 'sc.

and guess wat technics, wanna know something else. the orange bowl is on jan 2. when do i move in? jan 4. yup. no football for me. so why do i give a ****.

Um, The orange bowl is most likely going to feature the ACC champ vs the big east champ so we’re looking at Wake forrest/Georgia Tech Vs. Louisville/Rutgers- Don’t know why you’re upset about missing that game

SC will play on January 7th vs Ohio State after they pimp smack UCLA this weekend and you’ll be there for that.

yes you still need to do 3 semesters at 'sc or community college. if you finish your 3rd semester at a cc, you automatically waive the foreign language requirement. if you’re anything short of 3 semesters, you need to take a placement exam.

i’m with rey on asking everyone a couple of questions -

i didn’t do too well my first semester in college due to family circumstances
spring semester 2006, i got a 3.0
summer 2006, i got a 3.4
fall 2006, i’m pretty sure i’ll end up with a 3.7
and spring 2007, i hope to end up with 3.7 as well

This whole thing is so stressing when im not gonna get a letter in the mail till early summer of 2007.

Vonska: I have a friend over at sc, a chick that like rooms with 8 other ladies (many cute) in some apartment. Maybe you can find something like that? The times i’ve driven to visit her i see these apartment complexs giving promotions to students like a free Laptop if you move in or a bike. The apartment area in which she lives in, and where those aprtments are at are by Adams and some other president.

Oh, and if i get a 3.6gpa this fall semester I will apply for Annenberg knowing my spring gpa will be much higher. If not then i’m sticking to poli sci. I really wanna study abroad…but one step at a time…like a carpenter.

aarhrhrhgggghgh, time to study for my French Quiz in 12 hours. Adios.

well they’re saying no guarantee and im taking it as a no. ive taken my own initiative and i’ve aready found 3 pps who want to move out and hand over their lease to someone else but i want to go see their apartments before i place a deposit or sign anything.
for anyone looking for housing: www.campusunite.com <– pretty helpful

what are USC’s transfer statistics for business majors. Im currently at UCD and want to transfer to USC. What GPA are they looking for, baring in mind im coming from a UC and not JCC??? thanks. applying for fall 2007

today in my math class i found out due to my previous 2 exam i am not doing to hot in that class. luckly, there are still 2 exams left before the term is over which im planning on studying quite hard. Suppose I get a “C” in that math class. What would you say?

My other classes would consist of 3 A’s, 1 B and that 1 C in Math. The gpa being a 3.4

i still have next semester to raise that overall gpa…but bear in mind that this is just because i found out im not doing too well in my math class. it could be possible to attain a B in that class or slighly, even possibly a low A. I’m still not sure…but just so I dont go blow my brains out right now; any words concerning if i did receive a C?

I ask cause i remember sc asking or B/A on all transferable work.
