yeah, my classes are not remedial and they are all transferable, but I agree you never know what your chances are.

I also want to say that I for sure would not be accepted into the particular schools like Marshall or CAS, but I was told by admissions that I would be accepted to USC in general if I was accepted and would just have to apply into the schools if I get in.

i believe a request for spring grades means you’re borderline… i remember last year a couple of us got requests and we almost all got in (some of us got in for spring semester).

If you have under 30 units at the time of applying you get a spring request, regardless of how good your application is. But it is a good sign, because if your grades were horrid or they weren’t interested they would have just flat out rejected you.

It seems like a lot of people have already been accepted, and I haven’t heard anything from USC, not even a spring grade request. Is this a bad sign? and are there any other junior transfers not been accepted yet?

hey guys, i just finished my freshman year at UConn and applied as a transfer to USC. I have yet to receive a request for spring grades or anything, so i have a feeling that i’ll probably be rejected. I did not fulfill the writing requirement (and had a damn good reason too, UConn has NO composition classes, and there are no CC colleges near uconn) but i still think they wont accept me. I applied as a geography major and had a 3.45 GPA in the fall while taking some classes that will transfer over to USC.

as for financial aid and housing, is there anything that applicants have to do? All i did is request that my FAFSA is sent to USC. as for housing, I have done nothing.

Don’t worry about not getting a spring request, I just got mine yesterday and reading posts from last year, people didnt get them like the end of may and beggining of june.

I’m at a CC and I want to transfer to USC Marshall or USC Thornton (Music Industry)…So I had a few questions. My GPA isn’t great it’s only going to be 3.2 after this semester but I should be at a 3.5 next fall (I know it’s going to be impossible to get into Marshall)

-So I want my plan is to transfer into an unpopular major then transfer within USC to Marshall. Any suggestions on which major would be easy to get admitted to?

-My other plan is to try to get into the Music Industry program at Thornton. Does anyone know how competitive it is? I know my gpa isn’t great but I’ve had 3 internships at Record Labels and going into my 4th this summer. Do you think that will help me?

It’s basically between those two scenarios. I want a degree in Business Administration or Music Industry. Oh btw, I’m going to transfer as a Junior in Fall 08…so when should I apply?

anything that doesnt have very many prereqs in the college of arts and science.

call the admissions office about the avg gpa into music industry.
