<p>Ok, this ^^^^^ is really bad logic. First of all, this GPA that would start over would be your USC GPA, not your GPA. If you’re applying for an internship, you figure out your total GPA (that means counting classes outside of USC). Saying you had a 4.0 is downright lying. I’d love to see someone try to explain that away when transcripts are being reviewed.</p>

<p>For the admission decision, all grades in USC transferable courses (including grades of “D+” and below) are calculated into the grade point average (GPA). USC takes into account plus/minus grading. Marks of credit/no credit, pass/no pass, withdraw, incomplete, no record, missing grade, and passing course in progress do not affect a student’s GPA.</p>
<p>If you repeat a transferable course, each grade earned in that course will be used to calculate the transfer GPA for admission.</p>
<p>Further, USC does not honor academic renewal or academic forgiveness programs that allow students to improve recorded substandard academic performance.</p>

<p>Have you called admissions before? Sometimes it takes a few days for letters to get out and they may have made a decision/sent out a spring grade request already.</p>
<p>why dont both of you guys call and ask for the status of your application, they will either tell u spring request or your application review was finalized, which is either acceptance or the other thing.</p>
<p>I just called, no decision has been made yet. They told me they will mail something soon if there is a spring grade request or decision.</p>
<p>Kinda late, isn’t it? Just to reiterate, I applied as a Geography major (Poly-sci 2nd choice) from UConn. I had a 3.45 GPA in the fall. I completed a few requirements, but my major flaw is I only have HALF of the writing requirement done. Although I have a really really REALLY good reason for it (I wrote them a thorough explanation that was about 2 pages long), I am fully expecting a rejection despite applying to a program like geog.</p>
<p>Does anyone know if coming from a good school like UConn (#1 public school in new england), as well as coming from 3,000 miles away and being a 1st generation student, would help at all? NOT to knock CCC’s or anything, but UConn’s reputation is pretty good, and marks such as A-'s and A’s are few and far between.</p>

<p>i just called and was asked for my spring grades. i applied to marshall. is this a good thing? it’s weird because i was admitted to nyu-stern and wasn’t asked for my spring grades. in fact, my decision was made within 24 hours of when my application was completed.</p>
<p>If you get asked spring grades, you are a borderline applicant.</p>
<p>I just want to get ANYTHING from USC… whether it be a rejection or acceptance or spring grade request.</p>

<p>by receiving the decision from marshall, it officially brings closure to my transfer waiting period, and only then can I relax and celebrate.</p>

<p>I was mentioned here as smurf’s wife)) I am really tired of waiting. I can access my oasis account and see stars report + transferred classes that they accepted or not. But i still don’t have the admission packet, and I am worried because my GPA, as USC stated is 3.56. I am applying to Comp Sci… Like my husband said, I was able to pay 300 bucks for enrollment commitment form and 200 for my orientation. When I heard that not everyone who accessed oasis gets admitted I felt really dumb… I don’t know why I thought I am admitted.</p>
<p>Did you pay the enroll commitment online? I know that if you pay for it online and you’re not admitted, it won’t let you pay. If you CAN pay, you probably did get in.</p>
